Hungry Girl 200 Under 200

Hungry Girl's cookbook with 200 recipes under 200 calories.

BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Lisa Lillien, the delightful and food-obsessed Hungry Girl, has been hard at work in her California kitchen cooking up a sequel to her blockbuster hit, Hungry Girl: Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-free Eating in the Real World.

Hunger Girl 200 Under 200 was developed under popular request by Lillien and her team of ingenious low-fat, low-cal foodies to concoct delicious, fun and non-rabbit food, figure-friendly eats that keep portions in check and deliver a mouthful of flavors in 200 calories or less.

This latest book features 200 recipes from appetizers and baked goods to main dishes and salads. Relying on super creative kitchen tricks like using Fiber One cereal as a coating for low-fat "fried" mozzarella cheese sticks, Lillien will wow and impress you with some of her new cooking techniques that promise to delight, satisfy and keep you looking great.

Lillien follows Weight Watchers points daily and all of her recipes feature this popular point-based system.

DIET and NUTRITION

Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 features, you guessed it, 200 recipes under 200 calories. Using some of her old kitchen tricks and many news ones, Lillien shows you how to whip up Cheeseburger Lettuce cups, Hot Boneless Buffalo Wings, Cheesy Cornbread, Swirls Gone Wild Cheesecake Brownies and 196 other sweet treats, healthy dishes, comforting pastas and creamy ice cream and coffee drinks.

Recipes focus on breakfast foods, salads, dips, starters, mini-meals, desserts, sweets and cupcakes. There are also entire chapters devoted to some of Lillien's favorite foods like Fuji apples, Cool Whip and Fiber One cereal and how to add them to recipes.

The recipes are all very easy to make and many of them can be made with just a few simple ingredients. A devotee of Weight Watchers, Lillien's recipes all feature a complete nutrition profile including their Weight Watcher's points.

EXERCISE

A true health devotee, Lillien strongly encourages daily exercise, but her book does not spell out a specific exercise program for you to follow.

CONCLUSION

Lisa Lillien's Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 is a follow-up to her New York Times Bestseller, Hungry Girl. This latest cookbook features all the sass, fun and low-cal eats as the first one, but with new recipes, new kitchen tricks and new concoctions, Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 is sure to keep your tummy giddy and your booty slinking into those skinny jeans.

I like the variations and there are many yummy recipes here. It has great tasting substitutes for your favorite normally higher fat/calorie foods. Hungry Girls enthusiasm is uncomparable. Keeps me motivated!

relies far too heavily on fake sweetners, weird additions of fiber and chemically processed foods.
