Habitwise is a product line of bracelets and coins that are designed to help you turn your healthy intention into an ingrained habit.

Developing behaviors takes time and effort and since it always seems like the good-for-you behaviors are harder to set in place than the not-so-good-for-you ones, a team of medical professionals has created Habitwise. Formerly called A-Wrist-A-Trac, these discrete accessories serve as constant reminders to stick to your health goals throughout the day.

The products include the getLoss bracelets for weight management, the getWet bracelets for proper hydration and the getTracking bracelets to encourage physical activity in kids. The getLoss and getWet products also come in a coin form for men.

Here's how each product works: At the start of the day, you put all of the beaded bracelets on one wrist (or all of the coins in one pocket). Every time you eat something on your diet or you drink a glass of water, you move one bracelet (coin) to the opposite wrist (or pocket). At the end of the day, your goal is to have all of the bracelets or coins moved to the opposite wrist (or pocket), therefore marking the successful completion of your health goals for the day.

DIET and NUTRITION

The getLoss weight management Habitwise bracelets or coins track food groups, calories, points and other nutritional measurements, based on the habit plan you choose to follow.

You begin the day with all of the bracelets on one wrist. Each beaded bracelet is color-coded to correspond to a food group. Green are vegetables, white is dairy, pink is fruit and so on. Every time you eat a serving of any food, you move the corresponding bracelet to the opposite wrist. Once you have moved all of the bracelets over, you have reached your diet goals for the day.

The beaded bracelets can also be used as part of a calorie-counting diet. Each one corresponds to 50 calories. So if you are only allowing yourself 1,200 calories a day, you wear 24 bracelets. Since you must keep track of your calories consumed, using a reliable calorie-counter is strongly encouraged. If you eat an apple that contains about 100 calories, you move two bracelets over to your opposite wrist. If you eat a piece of pizza for 250 calories then you move five bracelets over.

Once you have moved all 24 bracelets you have met your calorie quota for the day.

Each set of bracelets comes with outlined instructions and clearly marked charts making following the program easy and fun.

EXERCISE

The getFit bracelets for kids encourage physical activity and healthy eating. Each time the child engages in a healthy behavior such as eating an apple or jumping rope with their friends, they move one bracelet over to the opposite wrist. At the end of the day, the goal is to have all of the bracelets on the opposite wrist.
