BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

First there was the grill to sear away fat from your chicken and meat and now there is a line of healthy shakes designed by George Foreman that help you control your appetite, boost your metabolism and provide your body with the nutrients it needs to lose fat while keeping muscle.

Foreman's Life-Shakes, billed as the Ultimate Daily Health Shake, come in three flavors and are consumed in place of one meal per day. The shakes are also low-gylcemic and provide your body with over 100 nutrients in one serving.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven fat burner as Sletrokor for better results

  • Convenient way to get nutrients, fiber and protein
  • One shake is less calories and fat than a typical meal
  • May help to keep you satisfied until your next meal
  • Drinking your meal may make you feel like you're starving yourself
  • Probably not a long-term diet for sustained weight loss

Life-Shakes contain 100 different nutrients including protein, antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

One shake is consumed each day in place of a meal. Simply follow the instructions on the label, mix with water and drink. The powdered mix comes in three flavors: creamy vanilla, dark chocolate or berry blast.

The website also includes recipes that you can make with the shake mixes like smoothies, yogurts, oatmeal blends and parfaits.

While there is not a specific diet plan that you should follow while drinking the George Foreman Life-Shakes, the website includes healthy tips for dieting and snacking. Most of these tips are well-known diet tips such as snacking on fiber-rich fruit and vegetables, minimizing or avoiding sugars and refined carbohydrates, eating plenty of lean protein and exercising.

George Foreman's Life-Shakes are not that much different from other meal-replacement shakes. While they do pack a powerful nutritional punch in each serving, studies show that liquid diets tend to have a rebound effect and the dieter ends up gaining the weight back once the diet is complete.

But if you're looking for a simple, on-the-go way to get in your daily slug of your nutrients, then the Life-Shakes might be an efficient meal solution for you.

George Foreman shakes promised me a shaker cup to go along with the drinks. I ordered the product in August 2011 and after several calls, am still waiting for the shaker cup!!

The infomercial said I would receive a shaker and diet suggestions. All I got was the powder, not even a packing list. When I called there was a promotion for "coupons and bargains". the stuff that came was junk that would cost a bundle.

I tried to chocolate flavor for 3 weeks. I ate 2 meals per day and one shake per day. No snacks in between meals and I workout at the gym 3 times per week. I lost NO weight and think the product is falsely advertised as a weight lose product.
