Dining Lean: How to Eat Healthy When You’re Not at Home written by Dr. Joanne V. Lichten provides you with all the tools you need to make smart choices when you're eating out.

Dining Lean includes the nutritional information for thousands of generic restaurant menu items in addition to the nutritional statistics of more than 70 chain restaurants.

Also included are foods from amusement parks, movie theaters, restaurants and bars.

Dining Lean even includes suggestions from chefs on how to make special requests to your food so that they are less fattening and an easy-to-use symbols that help you with estimating portion sizes.

Dining Lean features more than 5,000 items from restaurants, fast-food chains, movie theaters, amusement parks and more. Each item includes its calories, sodium, saturated fat, trans fat, fiber, cholesterol and carbohydrates contents.
