Pink Patch

This little sticker can potentially provide weight loss.

BACKGROUND

First there were patches to help you quit smoking, then birth control, and now there is a patch for losing weight. The ingredients, which seep into the skin, are intended to control your appetite for 24 hours while revving up your metabolism, curbing your appetite, boosting your energy and elevating your mood. Pink Patch is the newest product from Curb Your Cravings, responsible for the Hoodia patch.

The Pink Patch is marketed toward girls and women in their teens and early twenties. You are expected to lose approximately one to three pounds each week.

The suggested use for the Pink Patch is to stick one patch on your skin in the morning and leave it on throughout the entire day. You are encouraged to drink a lot of water, avoid alcohol and limit caffeine to only a cup per day while you are wearing the Pink Patch.

I have been reading up on each of the ingredients and would urge people to use Wikipedia to look at what each of the ingredients does before you go ahead and assume it's all natural so ok. There are a lot of stimulants in these "natural" ingredients which will naturally suppress appetite and "enegerise" you - potentially with downsides. I guess this is why they say not to drink more than one cup of coffee a day as well. After reading this site - checking the ingredients and not being sure about how it would effect my contraceptive pill I'm voting no to trying it. Ingredients for your reference: Fucus Vesiculosus, Extrac, 5-HTP, Guarana, Zinc Pyruvate, Yerba Mate, Flaxseed Oil, Lecithin, L-Carnitine. posted Jun 23rd, 2008 10:03 am

I am using pink patch for 5 days so far and dont have any appetite at all, therefore feel a bit week. Remember even if you dont want to eat, you still need to eat 3 small meals a day and drink lots of water. It consits of powerfull appetite controller and if you dont drink a lot you will have a headache. Also remember that the body fat would not be gone from body for 1 week at all, it is just water you r loosing. You need healthy meals which will increase your metabolism and make u born fat. I reccomend using pink patch for 1 mounth and learn yourself how not to snack and then you should remove it and try not to snack by yourself posted Jun 23rd, 2008 10:03 am

"you're all clueless" needs to just keep the crude remarks to him/her self. But I just go the weeks trial today and I already feel it. Its kind of a weird sensation that I'll have to get used to, but I'll let you know if it works. I work at a deli and all i do is eat all day. I'm not a large person at all. I only wanted to try it to lose those couple extra pounds. But.. to everyone.. just be safe. Don't get too carried away with the weight loss fad. Eat healthy. Eat in moderation. And excercise. This patch is just more of a little helper than a cure. Good luck. :) posted Jun 20th, 2008 8:11 am

REPLY TO TC: Whether you think I am dying or exaggerating is your opinion of my comment. The whole purpose of this strand is for people who have tried it to leave their personnal experience details. Your opinion of my experiences don't counts for anything really as I am giving my exact account of trying the patch to other people. The purpose of the strand is regarding the pink patch. gave the patch a try and that's how it physically felt for me. By your comment to others, "Don't be influenced by some on these remarks", you are contradicting the use of this strand. How about commenting on the pink patch and what it did for you and not others experiences? posted Jun 20th, 2008 8:11 am

I tried the free trial and thought it was great, I've lost a few pounds, was in a great mood despite the stressful time I'm having at the minute, and did not notice any negative side effects. While waiting on my month's supply afterwards however, I felt really down and attributed this to not wearing the patch. I've received my month's supply yesterday and will probably continue wearing it for the month, but I feel a little uneasy about how my mood changed during the last week. I wore the patch with sceptism and was genuinely surprised that it worked, so can this still be put down to it being a placebo? posted Jun 19th, 2008 10:29 pm

I think that the pink patch did work and of course it wont work for everyone but to read some of these messages & to heard what people are writing (sally b)sounds like they are practically dying because of it which seems a little over exaggerated, as its an all natural ingredient & surely if you felt that ill first of all you wouldnt continue it. Also really its your own fault if you dont read the terms and conditions and if you dont read them then you deserve to be billed, because nowadays anyone with any common sense would read the small print! Anyway the only way you will find out what they are like is if you try it out yourself, dont be influenced by some on these remarks. posted Jun 19th, 2008 4:34 pm

WARNING - THE PINK PATCH MADE ME ILL! I ordered my free trial of the pink patch. As soon as I recieved it I cancelled so that they would not be able to keep taking money out of my account. Day 1 - could not eat Day 2 - Problems focusing - my sight seemed off balance Day 3 - Neck pain, back pain, nausea, eating but not as much as normal. I could not string a sentence together and kept stuttering. My words would not come out right. Day 4 - I feel like I am on drugs or something. I can't talk properly let alone think properly. My tongue is swelling, my body hurts so much it hurts to lie down. I feel dizzy, nausea, mouth sores, my eyes feel sunken in and I have the darkest circles around them. Day 5 - I stop taking the patches and throw them in the bin. Day 6 - Feeling a little better although my body is still in pain. Day 7 - After 2 days of not taking the patches I feel back to my old healthy self. Taking them felt awful. I'd never do it again. posted Jun 19th, 2008 9:38 am

I believe everyone on here who is saying that these things work, actually work for 'curb your cravings'. I was ripped off!! they only made me feel sick, so i wasn't eating not because i wasn't hungry, but because i felt sick. no side effects are stated! This company prays on the fact that people won't read small print. it isn't made clear. i'm obviously not the only person who feels decieved by this company, wish i'd read this strand before i tried them. dont do it!! posted Jun 19th, 2008 9:38 am

Some of you may be losing weight, but what you aren't doing is considering the effects that this drug is having on your body. Did you know that it is not actually legalised, and do you know all the other hiden ingrediants with in this patch that are potentially harmful? Stop being such suckers for a gimmic, get up - do some activity and eat less fat! You will put the weight on as soon as you stop using the patch,..and if you cant stop using it... then I rest my case!! posted Jun 18th, 2008 3:14 pm

Wow the pink patch, what can I say. I'm a sceptic. But if it works. Maybe it's a phycological thing. posted Jun 18th, 2008 3:14 pm

I tried the free sample and thankfully read the fine print so was able to cancel it before they charged me for a month's supply. I definitely didn't lose any wait and rather than feeling in a great mood I felt utterly depressed from the day that I started wearing it. I noticed that in the mornings I woke up feeling fine, but shortly after getting to work (about an hour after putting on a new patch) I started feeling very low and depressed and that feeling lasted the whole day. I am now no longer wearing the pink patch and once again feel my normal self. posted Jun 18th, 2008 10:23 am
