Pink Patch

This little sticker can potentially provide weight loss.

BACKGROUND

First there were patches to help you quit smoking, then birth control, and now there is a patch for losing weight. The ingredients, which seep into the skin, are intended to control your appetite for 24 hours while revving up your metabolism, curbing your appetite, boosting your energy and elevating your mood. Pink Patch is the newest product from Curb Your Cravings, responsible for the Hoodia patch.

The Pink Patch is marketed toward girls and women in their teens and early twenties. You are expected to lose approximately one to three pounds each week.

The suggested use for the Pink Patch is to stick one patch on your skin in the morning and leave it on throughout the entire day. You are encouraged to drink a lot of water, avoid alcohol and limit caffeine to only a cup per day while you are wearing the Pink Patch.

I used the pink patch for 2 months and lost all my appetite, and approximately 2 stone. I am now severly underweight and am struggling to put some weight back on. These patches do work to an extent but i would never recommend them to anyone. They are a waste of money and no young girl should feel like they need to use them. Too much pressure is placed upon women to be ultra slim, and i myself being 22 have felt the need to conform to the skinny look, but my health has suffered and i barely have the energy to walk or do anything. It has changed my life for the worse. posted Jul 22nd, 2008 11:26 am

Try EFT, you can do it yourself for free. Weight is caused by underlying emotional issues. Yes, it can also be caused by hormone imbalances..but the hormone inbalances are caused by ....underlying emotional issues. take a look at www.emofree.com posted Jul 20th, 2008 3:05 pm

I am on day 3, so far I haven't lost anything, but I don't get hunger pains anymore. Can't say anything for energy as I have been staying up since 5:30 am...due to hubby going to work earlier for a few weeks......and am really tired by mid afternoon, but will keep all informed. Just happy that I don't get early morning hunger pains anymore as they make me sick when I get up too early and then I can't eat. posted Jul 18th, 2008 6:56 am

I felt awful during the trial!! I stopped taking it after 4 days as I experienced dizziness and nausea. I then began to start using the wrong words in sentences, I thought it was funny at first until I started to feel dizzy and began to stutter. I too (SALLY B) struggled to make a sentence and get my words out. I didn’t link the two together at first but after calling NHS direct as it got so bad they asked me if my diet was different or if I had recently started any new medication and then it clicked!!! posted Jul 17th, 2008 8:14 am

Don't be sucked in by this gimmick, please. Just 14 days after you become a 'member' you will be sent a month's supply for £40.90....that's £5 just for p+p!! It's a bubble envelope with a pack of paper patches inside, weighing about 30gms. You have the internet so why not use a search engine to get good advice on how to lose weight with sensible eating and exercise. This company is making loads of money out of gullible sensitive people. posted Jul 16th, 2008 2:24 pm

I was very sceptical about this Pink Patch as over the years I have tried all kinds of appetite supressants and generally they haven't worked. I tried to send away for the free trial but mistakenly clicked on the 4 month supply at £77.96. Nearly died as didn't have that kind of cash for something I wasn't even sure worked!! However, I emailed the company straight away and received a refund no questions asked. I then went ahead and ordered the free trial. I'm om my 4th patch and have to say I am amazed. For someone who thinks about and craves for food at almost every minute of the day I just didn't have an appetite and have at times even forgotten to eat. I can't really afford to go on these regularly but I just wanted to add a comment to all the cynical people out there that if I can go through even a 2 hour period without thinking of food let alone 24 hours then you should definitely try it!! I don't know if I have lost weight as I don't get weighed until tomorrow at Weightwatchers but I will come back on and let you all know. posted Jul 15th, 2008 9:28 am

I am on my 4th day and so far so good. I cannot say that it is suppressing my appetite as much as I would like, but I do feel like I have more energy. I am usually pooped by the end of the day and I find I am less lethargic. So I'm hopeful that the other will kick in soon, I'm not giving up just yet. On that note, after reading all of your horror stories, I emailed their customer service department and had them cancel my auto-ship after my trial period ends. I did not have a problem at all, one business day later they emailed me confirming my card will not be charged for anything other than the trial period shipping. My advice is this: It is up to the individual to decide what is best for them. If it makes you feel like you are making progress and gives you a boost then go for it, if it affexts you adversely then move on and try something else. There is no miracle diet, but a helping hand never hurt anyone! Good luck to everyone and may the fat fall off as easily as it came on! =) posted Jul 14th, 2008 11:09 pm

Ok the patch works for me and I am a big sceptic! My daughter ordered some and said she had more energy and less cravings, so I tried one. I did not know that there was any claim of a mood elevator, but I noticed the first day that I was not depressed and was in a much better mood than I had been, and I have much more energy and eat about half the amount of food I was eating. I will order more! I have had no side effects. If it is worth the $50 to feel better and have more energy, give them a try. posted Jul 9th, 2008 5:48 pm

I have had a very good experience so far with the pink patch, I had a problem with my delivery (it is more of a post office issue than a pink patch issue as I have had other deliveries not show up before in the area where I live) Well I thought I would try my luck anyway and let them know that my 6mths supply had not shown up, there was no questions asked they just sent me another supply of patches that were rec'd in good order! I was very impressed. One thing i have noticed the patch stinks so strong, the first set of patches I bought didn't smell at all, but this new set stink urggh hehe posted Jul 9th, 2008 10:05 am

Well I was considering trying the patch but I really have to speak with my doctor. To all those who scream that we need to get off our fat and exercise and eat less. The reason I have to ask my doctor is because I have hypothyroidism. That means that my body doesn't know how to turn fats into energy. If it works out I may tell my friend with Grave's (which means that her throid worked so badly that they had to iradiate it). I hope that some people can think next time they mock a large person. I have a strict exercise routine and an annoyingly strict diet plan. I can't eat some foods that are really good like spinach, broccoli, strawberries and peaches because it may cause a goiter. I hope that this can help aid my weightloss but if my doctor says no I have to look into other options. I am in hell everyday because no matter how I hard I work I have to deal with jerks trying to tear me down. So if people give you crap just tell them to shove it. They can only make you feel bad if you let them. If this is working for you Grats if not talk to your doctor they usually have a good idea of how to help. Good luck to all! I will keep y'all updated on the doc! posted Jul 8th, 2008 9:54 pm

I tried the trial week read the print and cancelled so far so good. I did though experience a benefit during the trial I felt better had more energy so I bought the 4 month offer, while my energy level is high and feel generally well I wake early and feel great but have not lost any weight and I feel bloated but not all the time. Soon I come to the end of my 4 month session whether a £1 a day is worth it only time will tell posted Jul 7th, 2008 7:06 pm

It looks okay, but to be honest you can pick up concoctions similar to this in capsule form in the health shop for a lot less. posted Jul 7th, 2008 7:06 pm
