It works but it doesn't last and overtime will cause damage and leave you with no metabolism. I t also causes inflammation and sodium problems.

It does control the appetite. However, it made me feel very weird. I felt confused at times, my focus was off. I felt agitated. It raised my blood pressure a little. It just made me feel yucky! I only took it for a week (last week). Maybe that wasn't long enough for it to get in my system. I went to the doctor on Saturday and hadn't lost not 1 lb. But, then my period also started the same week. It really makes me feel so yucky that I can't exercise. All I want to do is lay down after getting home from work. Any suggestions, anyone?

I took phentermine and lost 30 pounds but got off of it because it jacked my blood pressure up to 140/110. It is a very dangerous drug and should ONLY be taken under a doctors supervision. It is an anphetamine it will result in a positive drug test so, have a perscription. I know of a DO in my town but he is just a glorified drug dealer. Also once you go off of it if you aren't tappered off you will have withdrawl symtoms.

Topamax was prescribed for migraines and seizure disorder and the pounds just MELTED off!!! I found out later than Topamax indeed is PRESCRIBED moreso than Phentermine, but Drs dont want peepz to know about it, because if you OVERTAKE any med it can hurt you, but Topamax dont hurt you EXCEPT it will slow you down mentally alert if you take it during the day. I was on 500 mg a nite and when he divided it 2 in am , 1 noon, 2 nite...man i was DOPAMAXED! so yeah...it can dope you up, but ONLY if you take it WRONG!!! I have plenty left over as i dont take them as prescribed. Most people can take as little as 25 to 50 a day...

This is for Rachael, I have had the same problem and I will be the first to say I am my worse ememy when it comes to weigh lost. I have very good luck with Phentermine and I also found that I was getting hungry at night and begainto snack, so I decided to try the slimfast that curbs your appicate for 4 hrs. I find that I do this and it keeps me from going into the kitchen and looking for something to eat. Hope this helps you, it sure has me, I have lost 40 pounds since Dec. and I got a excerise bike and work out on it 30 min a day.

Phentermine is the only thing that has ever helped me lose weight. I took it many years ago because I had surgey & wasn't able to exercise for several months. I wanted to lose the weight before I started Grad School, so I decided to see a Physician about taking Phentermine. By taking the Phentermine as directed and walking an hour a day, I was able to lose 30 pounds in about a month & 1/2. Now for the past two years I have been on a medication that causes people to gain weight. I now weigh more than I ever thought possible. I cried & cried. I mean I am HUGE! Finally my doctor let taper off that med. Now I am able to take Phentermine again, but it hasn't helped much. I still take the Phentermine as directed, but I have always had insomnia (& I even have prescription to help me with insomnia) & I GET HUNGRY AT NIGHT. VERY VERY HUNGRY!!!!! SO I FINALLY GIVE IN AND EAT & I GUESS WHAT I'M EATING AT NIGHT IS CANCELLING OUT ALL THE EXCRUCIATING CARDIO & RESISTENCE EXERCISE CALORIES THAT I BURN DURING THE DAY. HELP DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGSTIONS? I gained so much weight while I was on that other medicine that I can't fit into any of my clothes. I try so hard now - I run & go the gym every day & I have gained more weight. I am scared that it's because I am older now my metabolism is ruined & this is just the lowest weight possible for me. I can't hardly look in the mirror - I am just enourmous. Please anyone out there got any ideas? THANKS

Ihave ordered tons of stuff via the net to "boost meatabolism" & curb my appetitie. I have also tried numerous otc weight loss aids.

PHENTERMINE IS ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY WEIGHT LOSS PILL WORTH THE TIME, EFFORT & MONEY. I LITERALLY TRIED EVERYTHING VIA THE NET "TO BOOST THE METABOLISM" - I DON'T THINK ANYTHING CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT PHENERMINE DEFINETELY CURBS YOUR APPETITE.( & I FOUND THAT ALL OF THE WORRISIME SIDE EFFECT SUBSIDED QUICKLY). IT IS VERY EFFECTIVE AT SUPRESSING THE APPETITE!!!!! But it doesn't even claim to boost your metabolism - because nothing really can make that claim. If you can't get Phentermine, I've found quality Hoodia to effectively curb my appetite - but again - no metabolism boost. IN MY OPINION YOU WOULD DO WELL TO FIND A GOOD APPETITE SUPPRESSENT & WORK OUT - VARYING CARDIO & WEIGHT TRAINING AS OFTEN AS IS HEALTHY IN YOUR CASE.

i lost 60 lbs on this after 4 months. only problem is when i took it in the morning, by nighttime i was thirsty. so i lost a lot of sleep during the night by trying to keep from getting dry mouth. i resort back to the phentermine. i kept the weight off for years but then had a car accident which put it all back on.
