Wondering?

I use to take this pill during my soccer season for the extra energy. It helped boost my ability at games and practices, but I never lost any weight because I didn't follow with a eating plan. After soccer ended, I stopped.

After doing research on it and the side effects I think that once I go back to school, I am going to start taking it again. I'm sixteen years old, 5'4 and 168 pounds. I've never been a "skinny" girl before and I'd like to drop some weight and get in better fitness before my next soccer season arrives. I said during school because after school hours, I run up to two miles a day, and weight lift afterwards with a few soccer buddies of mine. And so far, doing that has dropped a couple pounds off of me, but I want more. Should I start again or not?

I find it very hard to start a diet (change my eating habits).Metabalife gives the kickstart that I need. I go up and down with my weight and meatblife helps maintain. When I first start to take them,it gives me so much energy. I move more and eat better it really curbs my appetite. After about a month or so I have lost 10 or more lbs. and I use less and less. When I feel my eating habits start to get under control I stop using them. It has alot to do with you wanted to lose the weigh and making life style changes. When you say to yourself enough is enough. You have to recognize what triggers your eating. For me it's stress or boredom. I have always been happy with the results.

I took it many years ago and maintained weight loss. I stopped because I became pregnant. I'm currently taking metabolife again after a few years and it is a wonder pill. It curbs my appetite and gives me loads of energy to chase my 3 year old around.

For everyone who said they took it a few years ago and had negative results or health problems, THAT WAS A FEW YEARS AGO. They took Metabolife off the market b/c of the ephedra. It now does not contain ephedra b/c ephedra is not FDA approved. They revamped it so now your butt should not bleed.

I took this for a month a year ago. It helped me lose 10 pounds! I also included exercise and eating healthy in with this. Then I stopped I gained all the weight back in about a month and a half. I also stopped eating right and exercising like I did. For some reason this stuff made me sick and have rectal bleeding. This is the reason I stopped taking it. My doctor recommended to stop taking it because it was the cause of my anal bleeding. Finally a year later I went in for my physical and I was talking to my doctor about this making sure everything is ok. He told me to try for a month just exercising like I was and eating right. Sure enough after a month I had lost ten pounds again! The metabolife didn't make a difference for me at all!! The best method is exercise and eating right because we all know that your weight depends on 80% of what you eat 10% exercise and 10% genetics! Exercise eat right and if you stop you wont put the weight back on like if you quit taking pills.

I am ok with it. It does scare me to take them, but I feel that the product has helped me loose weight. I was just wondering if what the 9 year old girl wrote was true and if so, was because of the pills?

I was reading these comments to see if anyone else experienced what I did while taking Metabolife. I tried it about 5 years ago. Within a day of starting the pills, I started bleeding rectally. Stopped taking the pills, stopped bleeding. Started taking, started bleeding again. Needless to say, I did not take them long enough to see if I'd lose any weight.

I'd just like to warn you all not to take it. My mother died from using this prduct when i was 9. and it's the hardest thing to live through knowing someone so beautiful died because of the standards we set for ourselves.

I took Metabolife when it first came out and required an Rx from your doc. I lost over ten lbs in a month and dropped six dress sizes in 3-4 months. People were in awe, the fat just seemed to melt off daily. I had to stop due to some skin problems that developed (probably due to lack of hydration) and anxiety. Now that there is an ephedra free version I am tryring the Green Tea Formula. Three lbs this week with daily excersize and five meals a day + tons of H20. I find that I have to excersize to burn off the energy or I don't sleep! That's great motiviation to get my sneakers on!! As an added bonus my productivity at work is up ten fold. Wish me luck!!

I have only been taking it for one week i am also doing weight watchers with it and I have lost 7 pounds i am very pleased. the energy it gives me is great i walk 2-4 a day. For those people who said they gained it back it may be because they think they can just stop a diet or exercise because they have reached their goal. Being healthy and active is a life long deal you can't just stop and expect to stay a small size so keep that in mind if you are wanted to start this product!!!

I only take 2 at the most at the day. I could never do as it says on the directions. I love Metabolife. It gives me much-needed energy. I run almost every day but I still need the Metabolife because I am a heavy eater. .

I took Metabolife when it first came out in 2000 and lost over 50 pounds, I maintained that weight for a long time but recently I have gained 20 of it back, so I am looking to start the system again. I have had no real side effects that I know of, but with the new formula I am interested to see what happens and see if the results are the same. When going into these ventures I think it is import to note that healthy eating and exercising is the only sure fire way to lose and keep the weight off. Changing life habits is the best bet. I am hoping this will help me kick start my weight lose and encourage me to return to the habits the pills originally instilled in me (eating less). I wish everyone the best of luck in however you chose to take off the weight.

I took metabolife a few years ago and I lost over 30 pounds. I felt so good and had tons of energy. I stoped taking it and yes I gaind the weight back and then some. I have a little high blood pressure so I will try the caffine free formula. I pray it works. This time when I loose the weight I will continue to eat healthy and work out a couple times a week.

I took Metabolife when it first came out and I lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks. But due to the large amounts of caffeine used in it, it dried me out so badly that it damaged my voice and I am singer. So I stopped taking it and gained every pound back and some more. I am working out now and it is working with no horrible side effects.
