Check out the review for Mariah Carey's new diet- announced April 2008.
BACKGROUND
Even though there have been some ups and downs, Mariah Carey’s singing career has been successful for almost two decades. Fans also follow her waistline as closely as they do her position on the Billboard charts. It seems as though Ms. Carey is one of the many stars finally conquering her battle with weight, as she revealed a new diet that she's following. It's called the Bleak Diet. Mariah lost two sizes in 2006 thanks to this diet approach.
FOOD & RECIPES
Mariah says that she eats foods that have been prepared blandly. Her diet is primarily made of soups and fish.
EXERCISE
Consistent exercise is important for anyone trying to lose weight. Mariah hires a personal trainer and their routine is water-aerobic intensive.
EXPENSE
The cost is really up to you. There is not a specific program to enroll in or a book to buy. The cost will come from the groceries and a gym membership.
PRO
- Mariah lost about 32 pounds in four months
- Includes lean proteins
- Exercise is important
CON
- Would be tough to stick to for a long period of time
- Rapid weight loss can sometimes be dangerous
- Diet or not, everyone needs flavor
CONCLUSION
Being that Mariah Carey's Bleak Diet is of her own creation, there is not a lot of information available. She's only recently slipped the media details about how she's so quickly gained that impressive new figure. Like many other fad diets, Mariah's Bleak Diet appears to be a quick resolution without any long-term support. It's possible that anyone pursuing this diet would not be able to follow it for long as the food is flavorless, bland and would you leave you with impossible cravings for tastier foods- healthy or not. Many diets offer delicious, flavorful foods within the plan and provide longer-term benefits.
common misspellings: bleek diet, bleak deit, mariah cary diet, maraih carey
pammy: Mariah Carey as a diet expert? now I've seen everything
Anonymous: she looks fantastic...i wish I could find more info out there on this diet
Tania: It's all about portion control and finding something that you love doing while working out.
Ash: Just pick up the People Magazine her diet is in there!
Rachel: I have too lost up to 30lbs by eating salads and lean meats. But gained 10lbs back because I quit smoking, it works though!
Christy: This diet is exactly the same as the Susanne Sommer's diet, and almost the same as the Jorge Cruise 3-hour diet. I did this diet last spring, lost 28 pounds (from 154 to 126) and have kept the weight off, no problem. There is plenty of flavor because you can eat anything, just in moderation. These diets have been approved by dieticians, by the way - see the references in the books by Sommers and Cruise.
