LA Weight Loss

Lose weight and look great like everyone in LA

BACKGROUND

With more than 400 locations and success stories from across the world, LA Weight Loss has helped people battling the bulge lose the weight, not the lifestyle. This tagline for LA Weight Loss attracts people across the globe to a program that teaches how to effectively lose weight- not just give you the answers. It's not another trendy diet of the moment. Since 1994, the LA Weight Loss centers have provided clients with individualized counseling, by nutrition experts or successful clients, that prepare them for leading healthier lives. Encouragement, smart eating and exercise all contribute to the success of LA Weight Loss clients. You'll learn to eat appropriate portions, as well as enjoy a diet rich in nutrients- a balanced approach that does not focus exclusively on one group of food or completely remove another.

A complete history of each client's health is taken by counselors. This offers an extra level of attentiveness so that the program is safe and effective. Clients then visit the center to participate in individual counseling meetings. LA Weight Loss lasts only 12-months divided by three phases: Weight Loss, Stabilize, Maintenance.

DIET and NUTRITION

LA Weight Loss has a non-diet approach. They promote a healthy weight loss program, that teaches you how to live a healthy and balanced life- not just kill a few pounds for the moment. You won't have to seriously restrict one group of food, like a low-carb or no-fat diet; instead, you'll learn how to enjoy all things in moderation assuring your body receives all the nutrients it needs. In addition to teaching how to make and enjoy delicious, healthful meals at home, LA Weight Loss recognizes that it's not always convenient to do so. LA provides guidance to help you dine at a restaurant, without neglecting your plan.

LA Weight Loss also has a healthy cookbook available at most centers. Inside you'll find chocolate truffles, vegetable ziti bake and their famous philly cheesesteak.

EXERCISE

As part of the LA Weight Loss program, you'll be encouraged to get up and move. Any weight loss program worth its salt is going to make this recommendation- so don't think you're getting out of it. LA states that even a mild exercise regimen will yield results. Your exercise plan will be created by your counselor, specific to your needs, experience and limitations.

CONCLUSION

Provided there is a center in your area, LA Weight Loss is an ideal weight loss program. By offering individualized counseling, you're able to follow a plan created specific to your unique needs. If you're looking for a one size fits all program- then look elsewhere. With a long established brand and reputation and genuine testimonials on the site, you'll feel right at home at LA Weight Loss. Most importantly, you'll be able to lose weight and find a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

I have been working for LA Weight Loss for 4 years now. LA "pure Weight Loss" and LA Weight Loss have been totally seprate companies for quite some time. Pure Weight Loss has closed it's doors & the LA Weight Loss center should honor your Contract that you had with Pure weight loss. I have worked for Jenny Craig & I can honestly say that LA Weight Loss helps clients keep the weight off. Not just lose. We have products available for clients & they do help you lose. Would you join a gym & not use the equipment ???? The Program does work.. But as with any diet plan. You need to work it to. I dont care what program you do you will ALL hit a plateau at some time or another. The key is to not GIVE UP... You can get through it.. I am not in this for the Money, Beleive me we dont get paid that well. I am in this because I truly want to help people realize there dreams. My staff feels the same way . If they didnt they wouldnt be working for me for long. Any one that is really needing/wanting to lose weight I would check out your local LA Center. The Consult is free & you can make an informed choice. No one is forced to purchase ANYTHING.

I joined LA Weight Loss and lost 92 lbs in about 11 months. I went from 259lbs to 167lbs. Yes, the program is expensive, but it was worth every penny to me! I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is serious about losing weight.

I just joined LA Weight Loss program and am very skeptical after reading this. I must say that I wasnt strong armed into buying their products. They do make recommendations for use of LA Lites and their supplments. I wont buy the Lites but may buy some of the vitamin supplements. I am hopeful that this will work for me. I want to lose 13 pounds by this the end of Nov.

LA Weightloss can work if you stick with it. The price tag is WAY too expensive and they push you to buy their products which are also very expensive. It gets unrealistic and frustrating after a while when your pocketbook becomes empty! They have to meet a sales quota everyday. Really it's not worth the hassle and humiliation of waiting to be weighed & counseled.

LA weight lost trys to rip you off by constantly selling you things you don't need. Stupid supplements that you do not need. The counselors can also be pushy and rude.

Started my fifth month just to find out that all of the centers are closing down. What a waste of money. I really want to loose weight but I have to try other options because of this. I am disapointed that I have already spent over $1500 for nothing. We are not even guarantee a refund and no accountability. :(

Joined LA Weight Loss in Aug. 06. Had great results at first. Got to within 14 lbs. of goal. Stopped going. Counselor was very rude about my plateau. Went on and on about plan works...knows it. I am not sticking to it. and the truth is, I was not staying on track as I should have been, but she was rude. This was the center manager. I called a few days later, made appt. with another counselor. Told her what happened. She said it happened a lot. I asked her to give me all my bars...15 boxes. She did, but said that management wouldn't like it. Inventory or something. I told her they were paid for. She agreed and was very nice. NOW...i have gained my weight back, but I know it is my fault. I believe the plan works, but don't need the pressure. Spent about $1600 in all. I will get back on plan, but will not pay again. A few months later, the manager called me, said other girl told her why, she apologized, but too little too late. Too much pressure there. I know it's a business, but she made it feel that way. Her whole attitude changed with me after they got my $$, and my losses weren't 2 1/2 -3 a week.

I have been a member for almost 2 years. I told them flat out that I will not buy the product, and they do not hassle me. I have lost 30 pounds and feel great. I think this is the greatest program out there. Are all the centers closing, or just random centers as needed?

I have been on LA Weight Loss now for about 15 months and have lost 30 pounds. I am on many medications which I find have slowed down my progress. The counselors are very patient and encouraging. They are willing to work with me to support me all the way. This is the only weight loss program out of all that I have tried that has worked. Portion control and food choices are the key as well as plenty of water and exercise. I am thrilled that I lost the 30 pounds and I look forward to hitting goal soon.

I lost weight with LA Weight Loss the first time. I loved it then, everyone was nice and I felt that the people cared... I went back and then everyone was snippy one person ripped me off by adding to a credit card something I didn't want and wouldn't refund it. They acted like I didn't matter... I will never go back to LA Weight Loss again...

I joined LA Weight Loss, went from 187 lbs to 125 lbs, I was pushed into taking the supplements, I developed 21 kidney stones and had other kidney trouble within 1 year, I had dr.'s proof that the supplements and snacks are what caused the kidney troubles and was still told that i could not have my money back. I have to this day received a refund. I don't feel that LA Weight Loss is a very good program, once I developed kidney trouble, i could not even get anyone to return my call. It was proven thru diagnosis that the supplements and snacks caused my kidney trouble, and to this day I have to take medication daily to prevent kidney stones. I have 2 surgeries as well. I am not suprised that they are going out of business. I joined a support group and there are more out there just like me.

I'm just coming off of about 5 months of la weight loss and am changing to a different weight loss program. I did LA Weight loss about 5 years ago with great results (which I maintained easily until recently), but it required a lot of discipline as choices were limited and the combinations were complicated. However, now, the menu has been expanded and they offer meals, snacks and more food options. However, this time around, though I followed the program to the letter and exercised about 4 times/per week (including spin and kickboxing!), I only lost about 7 lbs. It was extremely frustrating and while teh staff was supportive, very few were qualified to be in the position they were in as none could advise, only encourage. Turnover in the center near me was high and only one counselor (who was not very friendly or knowledgeable) was the only one left at the end of my time there. This program is good for someone who needs to make major changes in their diets - I was already mostly eating well, so the plan did not change too much of what I was already eating but rather modified the balance of foods I was eating and forced me into a better eating schedule. This program is not good for someone who will not be making significant changes from their current diet, or just needs a lower calorie intake as the current plan, in my opinion, is way too liberal. I also don't like that they have you eating lots of foods that are processed and somewhat controversial (margerine, instead of real butter, lite salt, etc.), but that's just personal opinion. And their meals, well, let's just say they don't have to be refrigerated - you can infer the rest. I prefer natural foods. This is just personal preference though. In response to the counselors remarks, they may not have quotas per se, but each center is expected to perform at certain levels, if not, the manager and/or counselors get fired. That is happening all over the city where I live. The managers (though don't know about the counselors) make commissions off sales. I know this from personal experience of interviewing with them and talking to their management. it was high-pressure, but that doesn't really bother me. Just do your research before buying their stuff. Balance bars are a good substitute for the la lite bars, but may not save you much money. There may be others that are comparable too.
