Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I am so motivated by Jillian, come to Houston and kick my butt in the mornings,,,i am there sister!!!!
If I had Bob to look at everyday, I could work out day and night!

I am a loyal watcher of bl and its made a huge change in my life. After the second season i tried to talk my sister and brother into going on the show. I have always been the fat child and they were always the thin kids. My father died at the young age of 59 because of heart related stuff due to being overweight. Now the three of us got obese and after watching this amazing show year after year you motivated me to start my own competition with 4 other people. At the end of 6 moths i lost 57lbs.and my best friend and i were neck and neck with each other so we split the winnings. I still have another 40lbs. to go and after the holiday am struggling to get started again. With your show it keeps me going. Thank you biggest loser for the greatest show of all times! It is truly motivational! I wish i could watch it everyday!
Yes, I agree with the comment above. This year's group on the Biggest Loser don't seem to be losing as much weight as the past few years. Better hope Jillian doesn't find them sneaking a twinkie.
How come it seem like the people on the blliggest loser are'nt dropping the weight like last year? Are they doing something different?

Kit-Kat, that was un-called for--what you said about Jillian. The comments made here should be positive/negative about the programs, not to talk bad about the trainers. Jillian has helped a lot of people, and I am glad that she's there for people who need her.
Whenever I watch the show, I get very motivated to change my lifestyle. Jillian seems genuine in her work to help people reach their goals. Very inspiring to someone who needs an extra push like me.
I'M 25yrs old. I weighed 312 pounds. I losted 115 pounds. I did it by myself. There is no such thing is a diet or a diet pill!! You have to change your life style. I go to the gym every day if not every other!! Not only do I feel better, I look so much better. I've helped people get on the right track!! Don't do it, if your not ready to make a life change you will not lose weight, nor keep it off!! Biggest Loser Rocks!! I feel sooo happy for all of them!! The trainers are awesome!!

I am 59 and on disability, I have a knee that needs fixing and an ankle, I would very much like to see a big loser program with older people like me with disabilities as a biggest loser program and I'd like to be one of the contestants. To me the biggest challenge for the trainers would be obese people with disabilities, like myself. This is my challenge to all of the trainers on biggest loser.

I love the show!!! It has been so much of an encouragement to me. The show gives me the the courage to try to succeed this time in loosing the extra pounds.
I need some help!!! I am a amputee on my right leg below the knee and had a stroke on my left side , so my left arm and hand does not work. I need help finding exercises that work for me.
