Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

If you can stand the waiting time, the easiest, healthiest, and best things to do generally are the things we used to do: eat 3 square meals a day. Have a reasonable snack or 2. Be recreational 1 hour a day. When I was a kid at home thi worked. The whole time I was in the Army it worked. Now, after 3 years of yo yo diets and crazy gym regimens I am back to doing the old things and at middle age they still work.

Can Jillian have people on her show that are 35-45 lbs overweight? It would be nice to feature people that are 40 or 50 pounds overweight. I watch the show, but can't connect. Being 100 lbs overweight just isn't the way most peope are. When I was married I weighted 118, now I weight 180. I am a heart patient and doctors tell me need to loose 35-45 pounds. It's hard. I don't know why I lose 4 and gain 5! I am so frustrated. One time, feature someone with similar problems!

hey! i would like to put this out there for all those who say they can not lose weight without purchasing some fancy diet. i am now officially a post- bilateral mastectomy patient who was diagnosed with breast cancer on 9/13/11. this has turned my world upside down. i will tell you what most of the experts will tell you. if you were to write down every penny you spent on processed or fast food you would be shocked! we are a society of "live to eat" persons, not "eat to live" persons. this mentality has got to be turned around and it starts in our own homes and hearts. for the money you spend on processed foods you could purchase fresh or frozen fruits/veggies in equal or more abundant amounts. eat more brown rice and other whole grains instead of bread and crackers. don't buy that ice cream! go buy a whole bag of mixed fruit! i have many changes to make in my life and the most important one to me is to realize that it is healthier to get out, walk and listen to music than it is to sit in front of a tv and daydream about being that person working their ass of to lose 80, 90 or 100 lbs of fat!. think smart and get off your duff! stop feeling sorry for yourself and just move. you'll love yourself for it

I got to meet Jillian a few years ago and she's definitely playing a character on Biggest Loser. While forceful in person, it's just her personality, she has a lot of heart and genuine concern for the people she's helping. One of which is me! I love this online plan. I've lost 20 pounds since the beginning of the year and all my numbers at the doctor are down. Some of it's a little too intense for me, and I just skip that, but definitely do the stuff that pushes me. Now I'm excited to be watching her on The Doctors.

Jillian Michaels Website is a SCAM. It says $4.00 a week to join her website but in actuality you have pay quarterly @ 4.00 per week. which is 3 months of paying even if you don't want to continue. JILLIAN MICHAELS WEBSITE IS A BIG SCAM.

I have something for all you out there who say you just don't have the willpower. NO diet will ever work unless you really truly set it into your heart that you seriously honestly want to loose the weight. But when you say you don't have the money to eat what you should. The food pantry does give you canned fruits and vegetables, rinse them in a strainer under cold water to get off all the bad stuff and don't add sauce to them. If you eat in small quantities it will help tremendously. Look up calories for things on the net to reach your calorie goal. Just cut out a lot of the junk food like snack cakes, chips, candy and so forth that are not good for you. The food pantry does not give out most of these items so you would have to waste your money on these that you could be using to buy something you need more. But most important thing even when on a budget is to watch the portion sizes!
