Biggest Loser Club
Train with Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels
Nearly five years ago NBC introduced some of the biggest losers television has ever seen- and audiences couldn't have been more enthusiastic about embracing them and cheering them on. "The Biggest Loser" will begin its eighth season in the fall of 2009 and has grown to become one of the most popular programs on TV. Not only has Biggest Loser touched millions of Americans- but now reaches more than 50 countries, with places like Australia and Guam hosting their own series.
Each season the show introduces teams of people battling serious weight problems. During the fifth season, the show had ten teams of two couples competing to win; in season 5 they introduced a teams-of-two couples format; in season 6 they hosted a families format, season 7 returned to couples and season 8 will go back singles.
In the beginning, the teams are competing to win a cash prize of $250,000 and the title of Biggest Loser; but after a few weeks, they start to discover themselves and become more interested in getting healthy. The player who loses the highest percentage of body fat during the program wins. But ultimately, they all go home big losers who've won even more.
As the popularity of the show increases, so does the audiences' interest in trying it for themselves. The Biggest Loser Club now makes all of the expertise and tools used by the contestants available to you at home. Trainer Bob Harper, a renowned personal trainer, says that those following the home-version likely will not realize the same results as those on the show, simply due to circumstance. The contestants are in a highly focused environment for 12 weeks, without influence of typical daily stressors like children, work and chores.
Trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper have each published books with additional fitness and diet insight. During season five, Biggest Loser partnered with Bistro M.D. to provide the Biggest Loser Meal Plan, a home delivery meal service with healthy, chef and doctored designed menus.
In addition, The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge located in Utah offers a structured, affordable and weight-loss program for those who want to lose weight The Biggest Loser way but without all of the cameras and popularity. The resort accommodates adults and teenagers and emulates the same successful features of the NBC hit reality show with its calorie-controlled and chef-prepared meals, energetic workouts, motivating personal trainers and helpful dietitians.

(Page 1 of 8)Do you have an up coming show for new contestants in Chicago,IL. ?
i love the show i watched it all the time i wished i know ashly an her mom during fine i hope yous are the best my favorite.
I just got of prison doing a 4year sentence and i weigh 309 and i really want to lose this weight and keep it off Iwant to be a particpant on the biggest loser show what do i have to do to get on the show
Before anyone seeks to get on the biggest loser, or do a diet you should do your homework. Look at how many of those people were able to maintain their wieght loss. I have read horror stories about how that show treats its contestants, like animals.
I was able to lose 170lbs through a change in my diet, nothing drastic, and exercise with my self esteem and dignity intact.
This is testimony from a former contestant.
i wish i could do the biggest loser but i 16 but i love the show

This is for my husband Durim, he needs to loos a lot of weight, I love him so much and I hate to see him in this shape, he is only 26 years old, if someone can tell me what to do to make him stay on the diet and workout
I tried this diet because I love the show. They had a special and it was worth it to get the 3 free books. I think the diet might be okay, but I joined looking for support and information. I thought the website was one of the most disorganized websites, with very little help. I used Sparkpeople before and when you are new, there is very good information and it's very clear where to go to get it. The Biggest Loser Club website seemed must more difficult for me to find supplemental information (other than what you should eat, how much to work out, etc). In addition, I was offered some nutrition counseling by one of their staff. She told me to just write back and she would help me. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HER. I am cancelling. I can get what I need from their books. There is much more information in the books and I will go back to SparkPeople, which I think is a much better site! Maybe the Biggest Loser diet is okay, but the Biggest Loser Club is not worth it, in my opinion.

To whom it may concern;
I love watching The Biggest Loser, but I get discouraged because I have 100 pounds to lose and know that the results on TV are not the results I can obtain from home. I have seen nutristionists who all say that slow and steady will keep the weight off and I shouldn't force myself or even want to lose so much at one time. I have analyzed my diet and have found flaws, one of my flaws was the amount of sweets or empty calories I was consuming, By removing the sweets I lost 20 pounds, but realized losing those sweets attributed to my next flaw, not eating enough calories. I only eat aprox. 600-900 calories per day and now I am gaining the 20 pounds back. I am at a loss at the reason why.
If there is anyone out there who is like me I just want you to know your not alone, and to not give up on your weight loss journey.
I lost my thyroid gland due to a tumor growing around it. I've been eating and exercising to maintain a healthy weight, but since turning 50 years old, (52 in April, 2010) it doesn't seem to be enough, and as a result, in 2 years I am now weighing 255 lbs, at 5 feet and 5 inches tall. I need to get on a plan because I am watching my blood pressure rise with every bi-annual physican's visit. I don't have diabetes, but it runs in my family. I need help now, before I REALLY need help. Michelle Redd-Oliver - 619-866-1976.
whom it may concern i need to find out how to get help for my weight and i need to get on show i have been having problems with my weight since high school i got three children and would love to see them grow please contact me 360-870-2585

I'm having such a hard time starting and sticking with it. I really need the Biggest Loser camp I think
what can i do to keep my knees from hurting when i walk. i have high blood preusser.
This plan has helped me lose close to 40 pounds. I do recommend you join a bootcamp team or go on the message boards frequently. Community support has what has kept me going!
Like the books, but the online diet is not the same as the books, way more carbs than the book says you should eat
