Akavar
Claims that you can eat all you want and still lose weight.
Akavar 20/50 is a European weight loss pill that has achieved much success. It has made its move to the U.S. seeking the same. Akavar boasts that it is the ultimate fat cure and that you'll see the results you seek without any diet restrictions or inclusion of exercise.
Akavar is designed to restrict your daily caloric intake to less than normal. Without those calories that your body requires for energy, you'll start to use your fat reserves. This will of course cause you to lose weight and inches. However, you'll immediately gain back that weight should you stop using Akavar. The website offers little-to-know information about the product leaving open many questions about the supplement.
- Promotes eating all you like and still seeing weight loss
- Reduces urge to overeat
- Do not have to count calories
- Won't feel hungry
Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the more concerning details include:
- Promotes a lifestyle without exercise and healthy diet
- No FDA approval
- Web site offers very little information
- No published clinical research
- Does not publish ingredients
- Contains caffeine
It takes a lot of research to find what is inside those little Akavar tablets, as the product's website bypasses any discussion. Akavar includes many caffeine sources including xanthine and green tea leaf. Other ingredients include yerba mate, guarana seed, ginger root, kola nut, Tibetan ginseng, cocoa nut, rice flour, yellow no. 6, red no. 3 and Gelatin, among many others.
Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot of open questions- which really leads to concerns about both the product's effectiveness and impact on the body. With so many diet pills and supplements on the market, it is important for manufacturers to paint a detailed picture of the product to help consumers make the most educated decisions. Many diet pills and supplements provide all of the information that Akavar seems to have conveniently left out. It is also a little misleading that without diet and exercise you can still lose weight. Anyone who has ever committed to losing weight knows that without important changes to diet and exercise, results are often not achieved.

On my third meal with Akavar.... the only thing that has been bothering me a bit with the pills is that it feels almost like its blocking the food from getting into my stomach, and it almost feels like its going to come back up. I have a strong stomach, so I haven't been getting sick. I think that the reason that they tell you to take it with your 2 biggest meals of the day is because it literally makes you feel like you're almost full when you start eating, and then you don't over-eat. That’s the biggest problem with most people now-a-days. In a way, it’s almost acting like a non-surgical gastric bypass. You just can't eat as much. So here I am, only eating about 1/3 of a box of macaroni + cheese now, when I used to eat a box and a half! That’s the key to this product. I make sure to snack as well throughout the day, like maybe have 6 or 7 Doritos if I feel a little hungry, and I tell you, by the 5th chip I’m getting full. I would also be careful drinking caffeinated drinks as well, because too much caffeine can make you feel pretty ill. I would say be careful exercising while on this pill, because it does cause your heart rate to increase a bit. I've noticed it in myself. Just walking up and down stairs within the first 3 hours after taking the pill I get a little winded. I'm not saying that you shouldn't exercise on this pill, but keep it very moderate, like going for a nice power-walk, something that will get your heart going just a little faster. So, for me, besides the slight nausea and getting winded from climbing stairs, I would say that this drug works pretty well. I’ve only taken it 3 times now, so I know that I won’t show any weight loss yet, but I’m hoping that by the end of the bottle, even if I’ve only lost 5 pounds, I’ll help get me motivated, and on my way towards my goal.

To the people who say just cut down on what you eat and exercise - some people are just naturally hungrier than others, and some people - usually because of health problems like maybe thyroid issues - are naturally more fatigued than others. (Low thyroid makes you hungrier because your cells aren't getting enough oxygen, which means they're not getting enough nutrients so they make you hungrier because they want you to intake enough nutrients to combat this problem. Low thyroid also makes you more fatigued, because it's oxygen to the cells that gives you energy.) AND to the people who say there's no magic diet pill - WELL, there USED to be until the government banned all the stuff that worked! I used Acutrim Steady Control, which not only made me not as hungry, but made me not care about food. It never made me anxious (because it was time-released - hence, the steady control), and it worked like a charm! Too bad the U.S. government thinks it's everybody's nanny and needs to "save us from ourselves." NOW, there's NOTHING and I mean NOTHING that works to suppress my appetite! If I want to lose weight, I just have to go hungry! Yeah, good luck with that! Yo, government idiots -- it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! It's your job to protect me from others; it's NOT your job to protect me from myself!! Besides, most people who have health problems from diet pills (and this is a small percentage of folks) are just too stupid to stop taking it when they know it's causing them problems!! Ugh!!!! Isn't it funny you can get meth and heroine ... but you can't get a good diet pill!!

I work at a store which carries weight loss products and we do sell Akavar. Weight loss pills will effect people differently, it is all about trial and error. I was reading a comment previously posted that claims that Folic Acid which is the same thing as B6 destroys nerve endings. Your research blows to be completely honest. It does not do anything to nerve endings because pregnant women are supposed to take Folic Acid. If you are going to take the time to research a product, make sure it is reliable. For users interested: Any B vitamin you see in your weight loss product contains B's. This is for energy production.. common ones are B-2, B-6 and B-12. The alli diet is a great diet if you are willing to change yourself completely. It changes the way you eat by only allowing 15 to 18 grams of fat per meal. The orlistat pill literally coats your stomach in oil so fatty foods can not stick to your stomach. The idea is that you're working out to burn excess fat. The leading seller is Hydroxycut Max for women and Hardcore for men. Both products will only work if you work out regularly. It is a fat burner. Good luck and be smart about what you're taking. Don't trust what people post on websites, do your own research- see a doctor or go in to a store that carries these products. Majority will know what they are talking about. Good luck! :)

I think that everyone on here needs to learn to spell a little better. Its really sad. I would really like to try something like this, but i am unsure.skeptical, if you will. it seems like not many people on here are capable of intellgent speech... But also, im not going to lie- i am just flat out lazy- i am the kind of person that bought a mp3 player in hopes of using it to start running again- but got tired of running..i lose my ambition to better myself- so maybe this would just be an easy way out. but maybe just maybe it would give me some encouragement to keep going- i tried a slimquick drink mix-packet[it tasted like dog fart] BUT it gave me jitters so i RAN- 2miles. i even amazed myself- i wasn't even really tired when i was through-[ and i HATE running] i just felt good. so maybe the energy from this will do the same. how big are the pills? that might be an issue too...

Hi Kristy, no need to shout. I also noticed several typos in your post, not to mention many grammatical errors. Thanks!

Akavar does not work. TRY RAPID SLIM SX it makes you loose at least one pound a day on average. It is AMAZING. I have only been on it a week and have lost 8.5 pounds! There are no side effects either. Its really great!

TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT POSTING ABOUT AKAVAR WHY DO YOU BOTHER TO POST. DOES IT HEL;P YOU GET THROUGH YOUR DAY TO STOP BY AND TELL PEOPLE HOW STUPID THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE USING A KEYBOARD? I AM A 70 WORD PER MIN. TYPER AND WORK FOR A LAW FIRM AND I MAKE GRAMMATICAL ERRORS DAILY... AND TO THE PERSON WHO MADE THE COMMENT "1/2 THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE CAN'T SPELL AND DUH. IT HAS CAFFEINE IN IT WOULD YOU TAKE 2 CUPS OF COFFEE BEFORE BED?" IF YOU READ IT PROPERLY THE POSTER SAID THEY TOOK IT AT 5PM AND IT WAS 3AM AND THEY COULD NOT SLEEP!

I have been on Akavar for 4 months. I have lost 50lbs. Anyone is foolish to believe that any drug can make you lose weight without healthy diet and excercise. Without those the weight will remain the same. I use the pill as an incentive. It will polish the work i already am doing...that's how i see it.

I have been taking Akavar 20/50 for less than a week and I have lost 6 lbs. But the thing is that I have been exercising as well as eating healthy. You can't go and buy a diet pill and expect the pounds to melt off and stay off if you don't work at it. Anyway this is what I have been doing: I eat a packet of low sugar Quaker oatmeal for breakfast. A fruit for a snack. A Healthy Choice 5 grams or fat or less microwave meal for lunch. A 100 calorie pack for a snack. Then for dinner I eat un-seasoned grilled chicken with some veggies or something along those lines. My workout consists of running on the ellipticals for 20 minutes (I started out only being able to do 10 minutes! i have made alot of progress by doing it everyday! I doubled my time in less than a week.) I do a cardio work out video form Chris Freytag (cardio & fat burning). All together it takes an hour out of my day. Iused to be the one who said oh I don't have time.... blah... blah... blah... Really I did.... I realize that now that i am doing it. But anyway thats what i have been doing. I only take 2 pills a day with my lunch and it curves my hunger. I also am not experiencing any side effects. I love this Pill! But you cant go in to it without a commitment to eat better and exercise or else you will re-gain all the weight you may or may not loose woth this pill. Nothing works for everyone. I will post more about my experience with this pill in another week or so. I hope that all is still going good for me then!!! Wish me luck!

2/24/08 Hey! To all of the positive minded readers - I absolutely love Akavar. This is my first week on it (after gaining 10lbs in one weekend... On bourbon street, all I did was eat fried seafood and drink beer at the all star game in new orleans). I am 145lbs now and I have to jump up and down to get into my jeans. My normal weight has been around 105. I like to still have a lil room in my size zeros. I haven't been able to get them buttoned in 2 months. I'd like to only take one bottle to drop the weight since it can be expensive for a poor person like myself. I take the pills like I am supposed to and have no side effects (dizziness, anxiety, heartburn or anything). I love it! I take it before meals and after the 15 minutes am repulsed at the sight of food. I have tried to nibble and it just wasn't good. The only thing I have found it doesn't completely turn off is my craving for sugar. I have to have something sweet pretty much at all times (sugar in coffee, jelly on toast, dessert after every meal). But now, I'm trying to replace those cravings with a stick (or two) of gum so that I can stay on track. That seems to help a little. That is my only shortfall, I otherwise eat healthy (grilled fish, veggies, no meat, etc.) I do not own a scale so I don't know how much i have lost, but I can see my stomach going down. It's cold here, so I struggle with going out and running my usual miles, so I have faith in this product because it is working even without regular exercise. I am going to step classes at the gym near here when I can. I am not lazy and will pick up the pace when it warms up/i can pay for a full gym membership. Will continue to update. Please be careful with putting anything in your body before checking with your doctor. Nothing will work for every body, do what is right for you. I would love to have someone with a situation similar to mine (or not) to keep up with and compare... I'm 21, 5'5, looking to lose 30+ lbs. My email is a_glo@att.blackberry.net. Stay committed! I started taking them on 2/19 and as of this morning I have lost almost 5 pounds. I have not changed my eating habits. I think I need to adjust my time to take them tho, because I take 2 around 7 am and another 2 at around 11:45, so I am thinking of cutiing the morning to just 1 and taking the other one around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I need the extra help in late afternoon and evening. I hope it won't keep me up at night.

I have been on the Akavar pills for about 4 days. The first few days I was not very hungry. Now, I eat even more than I did before because I keep thinking the pill is going to help me lose weight without eating less. I am confused! It claims that you can eat all that you want and lose weight. Time will tell, but I am losing hope not weight!

This pill doesn't do anything. The claims are totally false. It's all advertising and marketing. I've been taking this pill religiously for 3 weeks and I've gained almost 3 pounds. I followed instructions and ate everything I wanted but instead of loosing the weight I gained!! I can't believe how they can lie to customers and get away with it.

Been using for 2 weeks and it hasn't done anything for me. Eating the same, weigh the same, no boost in energy.

Hi guys. I've used it for 2 weeks, I feel very good. But sometimes I cannot sleep, I think because of the caffeine, I don't want to eat anything, but still feel hungry in the evening.I don't think we can't eat whatever, it just helps us to restrict the hunger.
Henry
I tried Akavar. I started feeling strange urges about three days into taking it. I lost weight but I'd also wake up in strange places surrounded by fast food wrappers. I didn't remember eating anything or driving anywhere. I've heard of people who had these kinds of side effects from sleeping pills but Akavar is not a sleeping pill. I've lost 30 lbs now, but I also have several days unaccounted for. Beware!

I have been on Akavr for one week. I havent weighed myself yet but I know its working. I only take one pill at a time because of the caffeine. I do go potty ALOT! But that is just more exercise going up and down the stairs! I have also noticed that I fill up faster and I dont get my sweet treat cravings at night any more. Plus I have cut down on the pop that I drink. I went from drinking 4-5 regular pops a day to only drinking ONE!!!

For the people who say they've had weird side effects from Akavar, stop using cocaine. I have been on it for 2 weeks. I have lost 5 pounds and I have NOT experienced any strange side effects. Do people truly think that a pill will allow you to lose weight without diet and exercise? This pill does boast wonderful things, but it is meant as a metabolism booster to get your stomach acids churning so you start breaking down the food as soon as it hits your stomach (hence the need to take it 15 minutes prior to eating). As with any type of diet pill, stop taking it if you don't like it.
