Akavar

Claims that you can eat all you want and still lose weight.

BACKGROUND

Akavar 20/50 is a European weight loss pill that has achieved much success. It has made its move to the U.S. seeking the same. Akavar boasts that it is the ultimate fat cure and that you'll see the results you seek without any diet restrictions or inclusion of exercise.

Akavar is designed to restrict your daily caloric intake to less than normal. Without those calories that your body requires for energy, you'll start to use your fat reserves. This will of course cause you to lose weight and inches. However, you'll immediately gain back that weight should you stop using Akavar. The website offers little-to-know information about the product leaving open many questions about the supplement.

PRO
  • Promotes eating all you like and still seeing weight loss
  • Reduces urge to overeat
  • Do not have to count calories
  • Won't feel hungry
CON

Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the more concerning details include:

  • Promotes a lifestyle without exercise and healthy diet
  • No FDA approval
  • Web site offers very little information
  • No published clinical research
  • Does not publish ingredients
  • Contains caffeine
INGREDIENTS

It takes a lot of research to find what is inside those little Akavar tablets, as the product's website bypasses any discussion. Akavar includes many caffeine sources including xanthine and green tea leaf. Other ingredients include yerba mate, guarana seed, ginger root, kola nut, Tibetan ginseng, cocoa nut, rice flour, yellow no. 6, red no. 3 and Gelatin, among many others.

CONCLUSION

Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot of open questions- which really leads to concerns about both the product's effectiveness and impact on the body. With so many diet pills and supplements on the market, it is important for manufacturers to paint a detailed picture of the product to help consumers make the most educated decisions. Many diet pills and supplements provide all of the information that Akavar seems to have conveniently left out. It is also a little misleading that without diet and exercise you can still lose weight. Anyone who has ever committed to losing weight knows that without important changes to diet and exercise, results are often not achieved.

Common Misspellings

I just started taking these a few days ago. I have noticed a little bit of dizzyness and a bit of an upset stomach, but I'm giving it some time as my body reacts that way sometimes to new things. Anyways, I'm only using Akavar as a supplement and eating healthier and working out whenever I can. I don't think there's any miracle pills that can help you lose weight without you changing your diet or meeting your exercise needs. I'll keep you updated on this pills progress. I am eating less and I highly recommend that for those that are eating way less that you take some sort of multivitamins as well. I've been keeping a record log of what and how much I'm eating and the exercising that I've been doing. My weigh in before starting Akavar was 179 and I'm 5'2". I haven't weighed in yet since starting Akavar, but I definitely feel a little bit better. My goal weight is about 125 give and take. I don't mind being a little more provided that extra weight is muscle and not fat. I've read a few comments stating that as soon as your stop taking this pill that you will gain back all the weight. I'm curious to hear more feedback from people who have stopped and how their body reacted. I think that as long as you continue to drink a lot of water, eat healthy and no overeat and continue to exercise then you should be fine and not gain all the weight back should you stop taking Akavar. posted Jul 23rd, 2008 3:49 pm

Good Luck Danielle, and Liz. Danille, I 100% agree with you, it is ridiculous that people can think, they can eat whatever junk food, or as much as they want, and still lose weight. I still have not had much of an appetite, but you have to eat sensibly, and watch your calorie in-take. Also you must exercise. I run, and walk the dog. A good at home exercise which is walking is Walk away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone, she is wonderful, and those of you who are looking for fun, easy exercise this would be a great DVD. I have lost 5 more pounds, so I have lost 9 pounds total since my last visit. I will continue to keep you all posted, on my progress. posted Jul 22nd, 2008 9:46 pm

I started the pills yesterday and they definately worked as far as me being hungry. I ate 3 meals and snacked maybe twice, which i usually snack all day!! Felt a little jittery here n there but other than that was fine. I took the last two pills around 5:30 and ended up not going to bed until 1 a.m. I am usually asleep at 9:30. So taking them later in day might keep you up. Havent stepped on a scale yet but I'll let you know at end of first week. I have 3 weeks until the beach and I hope to lose maybe 15 lbs in that time. posted Jul 22nd, 2008 11:26 am

Most of you who are claiming it doesnt work also state that your eating whatever you want. If you're trying to lose weight you shouldnt be eating everything in sight. You should try to attempt to change your eating habits if you're not going to exercise. I just bought AKAVAR and I'm hoping it works for me. Also the bottle and website do state that not every diet pill works for everyone and that is why there is a money back guarentee. So if you're not happy, then return it. But dont think you can sit and pig out on junk and just because you're taking a pill your gonna lose weight....dont be so stupid! posted Jul 21st, 2008 5:09 pm

I started it yesterday n lost 2 pounds! So now i have only 10 more pounds to go once i reach my goal weight (110lbs). Despite the fact it says you can eat whatever you want and still loose weight, Ive been counting every calorie i ingest 4 the past year and am also vegetarian, barely eat junk if any and exercise regularly. That being said if u add a sensible diet and exercise you will more then likely see results quicker and that is written more then once on the sheet that comes inside the box of Akavar 20/50. I'm hoping to reach my goal weight, and tone up within 2-3 weeks! wish me luck!!! posted Jul 21st, 2008 5:09 pm

I've been taking akavar for one month now. I am eating sensible and walking 2 nights a week and swimming 3 nights a week. I have noticed a change in my body and I have lost 14 lbs. It feels as though I am losing it in a healthy manner and not too dangerously quick. posted Jul 17th, 2008 10:45 pm

I have been on the pill for 5 days now, and I have not had a huge appetite. So far I have lost 4 pounds. I was only taking one pill twice a day, instead of taking two twice a day, since I drink alot of Coffee, but to be honest the last two days of taking it, after only taking one pill, I am not hungry hardly for the rest of the day. I would so far reccomend this product, but then each of us, may be afftected differently, My friend took NV and it worked for her, but it did not work for me. This product so far so good. I will keep you all posted, I want to lose about 30 pounds. Good Luck to everyone who may want to try this product, again it may work for some, and then not for others, you just have to try it, and see. posted Jul 17th, 2008 10:45 pm

I am a 5 foot 3 inches, 25-year-old Asian who always gain weight when I am back here in the States. I had tried taking 4 different diet pills already to help me get rid of 25 pounds that I have gained for a little over a year of staying here. None of them worked! Been taking Avakar 20/50 for 12 days now and I have lost 5 pounds so far! I used to be 150 pounds and that is alot of weight for my 5'3 height! I am so excited not because of my weight getting down to 145 lbs., but because of the fat I had lost around my tummy area. (I want to get down to 120 lbs. where I was a year ago). I can get in my size 4 jeans now! It is unbelievable because I thought it will take me at leas 6 months to be able to wear my size 4 jeans. I am not saying just take Avakar and expect to lose weight. It does not work that way for me anyways. I am on a low-calorie, low-carb, 5 small meals diet a day. Started it about 2 weeks ago also along with a 30 minute pilates and exercise with the exercise ball. What is great about Avakar is it controls your hunger, but it gives you alot of energy so better adjust your schedule -you will get more things done. BTW, I have to drink more water with this diet pill, it gives me headache if I do not. I had noticed I have been feeling more thirsty than hungry with Avakar. I recommend this to anybody who wants to lose weight, but do it in a healthy way - with proper diet and exercise. I will be back when I can say "Goodbye 150 pounds me, welcome to a happier, healthier 120-pounds petite frame!" posted Jul 13th, 2008 7:22 pm

I just got these pills today. I'm 5'7" and around 140-145. I'm not big I just need that extra boost to get rid of belly fat. Im going to start taking it tomorrow. If nothing happens within 2 weeks I;m switching to something else. And there is no magical diet pill out there people. I already work out and eat pretty healthy, but I just can't seem to loose the weight I want. =[ posted Jul 13th, 2008 9:09 am

Hi, I just finished my first bottle of akavar 20/50. I have lost 20 pounds so far and I think that because INSTEAD of eating what I wanted, I ate healthy foods and excercised, I am on my way to my goal weight using this product. Previously I was excersicing and eating healthy but not seeing results. ANYONEWHO THINKS THEY CAN EAT WHAT THEY WANT AND LOSE WEIGHT WITHOUT EXCERSICE IS A . This diet pill along with common sense is effective. posted Jul 12th, 2008 6:15 pm

Why would anyone want to take something that the ingredients and side effects are not made known or clear? Shove yourself away from the feeding trough, get off the couch and DO SOMETHING, and think of Mc Donalds, Wendy's and all the other fast food place as OUT OF BUSINESS. The public is constantly being "fooled" into buying stuff that they know nothing about. Do the reserach. posted Jul 10th, 2008 9:11 am

Have been taking Akavar for about a month now. NO weight loss at all. I was looking on the internet for what may be causing some (what I would call) extreme Vertigo and numb feelings around my mouth, and think I have found the answer, I will be throwing the rest of the bottle in the trash. Being a little overweight isn't worth having dizzy spells that could cause a serious accident especially when driving. This stuff sucks, plus I haven't lost a pound! posted Jul 6th, 2008 11:01 am
