Acai
An organic super food from Brazil packing a healthy dose of nutrients.
Just the mention of a product coming from the Amazon has the overtones of possessing mysterious health benefits. Acai (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) is the high-energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree. Its nutritional benefits are so powerful, Dr. Nicholas Perricone lists it as one of his top 10 Super Foods at Oprah's Web site.
Studies have shown that the Acai berry is one of the more nutritious and powerful foods on the planet. Harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, Acai tastes like a mix of berries and chocolate. Hidden within its purple pigment is what makes it the perfect energy fruit. Acai is packed full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. You probably won't find it in your local supermarket, but you may have better luck at health food stores, or from the many products springing up online.
The benefits of Acai are purported to be good for detoxing and maintaining optimal health for balancing your pH level. Proper pH balance is vital to our immune health and for disease prevention and correction. Other benefits you'll enjoy:
- Acai has a high concentration of antioxidants that combat premature aging. It has 10 times the antioxidants that red grapes have, and as much as 30 times the anthocyanins of red wine. Anthocyanins may have antioxidant effects, possibly fighting cancer, diabetes, and bacterial infections, to name a few.
- Healthy monounsaturated fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols together help promote cardiovascular and digestive health.
- An amino acid complex in conjunction with valuable trace minerals, help with muscular health.
- Research concludes that there appear to be significant benefits to Acai
- On Dr. Perricone's list of Super Foods
- Natural ingredients have disease-fighting qualities
- Increases energy
- Offers antioxidants and amino acids
- Good source of fiber
- Organic products available
- Many juices and other products available in major grocers
- Like other exotic products, Acai can be pricey
- Many imposters
Each Acai product will vary in its ingredients. Be sure to look for Acai products that are all-natural, and do not include a long list of other ingredients. Acai in its purest form is most effective.
Acai comes in many forms, including the whole berry, juices, powders, capsules and pills, food items and more.
Like any weight loss product, you should commit to a consistent exercise regimen. Be sure to look for Acai products that support a balanced and active lifestyle.
Exotic health foods, like the Acai berry, can provide untapped health benefits, if you can afford it. For whatever reason, these organic products are often on the steep side. But what else is more important than your health? If you can find room in your budget, a product like Acai is worth exploring.

I have not ordered anything off of this website and I will not be either after reading all of these reviews. I will go to Wal Mart or Walgreens or somewhere else first, but I did hear about this stuff from my brother in laws mom and she knows some girls who are using this stuff to lose weight and she and her daughter said it is absolutely unbelievable how much wieght these girls have lost. I am definitely going to try it to see if it really does work.

Is the Acai blast the same as the stuff at gnc?

DO NOT BUY ONLINE IT IS A SCAM. Buy from your local GNC for only $15 and you get 60 pills. Instead of buying online where you only get 10 pills for $5 and getting billed $40 every month.

I have not tried the acai berry diet, but I order ALL my vitamins and supplements from swansonvitamins.com and that is where I plan on ordering the acai berry supplements to try it. It's WAY cheaper ($11.49 for 120 caps.) and the site is trustworthy and I have had great service with them in the past.

I have been reading about all of these scams on the internet. None of these are good when they promise a "free trial" and then you cant contact anyone to cancel the plan. Do you remember the "Smiling Bob" guy that sold the sexually stimulating drugs? He went to prison for this type of credit card scamming and I believe they investigated his mother and wife and they may have gone to prison also. He had his 3 or 4 houses in OH foreclosed on. I dont understand how people can continue to scam people like this. BUYER BEWARE. Dont buy this on the internet.

Do not order from this site, it's a credit card scam. They will bill you monthly for their "acai diet pills".

BIG SCAM!! Don't order online, go to GNC or Walmart!!

Ya so i just called to cancel my sub.. and even if u cancel u still r charged 29.95 unless u send it back...i thought it was ridiculous...I don't have the time to send something back get a confirmation # and then call them to see if they received it and then call my bank to make sure it is off my account...so if u haven't already...DON'T DO IT!!! go to wal mart or CNG and get the product there where u'll know how much u are really paying. Thanks to all of the reviews on here I really wish i wouldn't have ordered it online.

I ordered the Extreme Acai trial, then cancelled it...received a bottle..and was charged full price, along with charges that I don't know what they are. I'd suggest going to a health food store instead of purchasing online. I ordered a different and received two items that I didn't realize I had opted to get. They did offer me a partial credit. I sent and email to the Extreme Acai customer service and it came back.

I am going to get a bottle I realize it is not a true free trial if you don't cancel in the first 14 days but I think i will stay for three months and see how it goes. I will fill you in.

I've only tried this product for the last 5 days, but have energy galore! It hasn't helped me lose any pounds yet, but with all this energy I have, hopefully I'll drop some soon! By the way, I bought my acai at Wal Mart after reading all of the warnings which I almost fell for. Thanks!
