New Products by BeFullSolutions and FullBar

The folks over at beFullSolutions (previously known as FullBar) have been hard at work developing a complete line of weight loss and weight maintenance products.

First, there were the FullBars. Designed by beFullSolutions founder Dr. Michael Snyder, these bars are meant to be eaten before a meal to keep you feeling full so that you’ll eat less. The secret in the FullBar bar is not some wacky laboratory-produced additive, but rather a combination of puffed rice and fiber-rich ingredients, which are meant to mimic the benefits of weight loss surgery without the need for needles or post-op care.

FullBars come in the following flavors: Cranberry Almond, Caramel Apple Crisp Cocoa Chip, Peanut Butter and Crunch Berry Bliss.

But recently, they have added to their selection of products. Meant to have the same effects as the original FullBar, namely to help you fill up the top portions of the stomach so that at mealtimes less food is required to feel full, thus promoting portion control and weight management.

Here is a sneak peek look at the new products by beFullSolutions.

We Love K-Swiss Tubes

kswiss tubesHow often do you slip on a new shoe and feel like it was made for you? It doesn’t happen very often. The other issue with new shoes is that whole breaking-in period, which can wreak havoc on your first workout or two together.

That’s why I love the K-Swiss Tubes, a new sports shoe from the popular shoe maker. Straight out of the box I felt like the shoe wrapped and hugged my foot for a perfect fit. And I didn’t have to go through any of that breaking-in nonsense, they were comfortable from the start.

If my word isn’t enough, maybe Jillian Michaels‘ will be. She was seen wearing a pair of K-Swiss Tubes during her Ellen appearance last month, in which she showed the talk show star a few at-home workout moves.

Food Find: Promax 70 Calorie Bars

promax 70 calorie barsThe number of energy bars lining store shelves is almost as wide at the cereal aisle. Not quite, but almost. And if you are someone who feels that the energy bar should be considered as a food group, then read on.

Energy bars run the span on the nutrition scale. Some are nothing more than a bunch of sugars and chocolate coating pumped up with a daily multivitamin and others rely on natural and whole ingredients to create a convenient and healthy on-the-go snack or meal replacement.

We Love BOT Water

bot waterI’m a big water drinker. I drink it plain. I add Propel packets. I sample new flavored waters all the time. It’s almost an obsession of mine. Recently I was sent four flavors of a new all-natural enhanced water beverage called Bot to try. From the colorful website and the cute little bears on the bottles, this water looked fun. With added antioxidants, B vitamins and electrolytes, this could be a great after-exercise choice. It has no preservatives, no artificial flavors, no coloring and no high fructose corn syrup. Sweetened with pure cane sugar and containing only 25 calories per bottle, there seems to be much to recommend.

But how did it taste? (more…)

We Love Rachel’s Cottage Cheese

For some, cottage cheese is an abhorred diet food. But to others like myself, I go through cottage cheese like water. For me, it’s a near perfect food – low-fat, low-carb and filled with satiating protein and bone-strengthening calcium.

rachels cottage cheeseTherefore, when on a recent trip to Whole Foods, I discovered Rachel’s Wickedly Delicious single-servings of cottage cheese, I knew I had found a gem of a food find.

That is why, this week, We Love Rachel’s Cottage Cheese.

The dairy lovers at Rachel’s took plain ole cottage cheese and jazzed it up with sun-dried tomatoes, cranberries, dill, cucumbers and all sort of other tantalizing seasonings, including fruits and veggies. So rather than you adding a bit of this and a bit of that to your cottage cheese, Rachel’s does it for you. Trust us food-lovers, here at DietsInReview, this is no ordinary cottage cheese; This is as gourmet as cottage cheese can get. (more…)

We Love JamFrakas from Lara Bar

Jam-what? From the makers of the Lara Bar, comes JamFrakas. Even though these yummy little organic snacks were designed to be a kid-friendly, all-natural energy bar, we adults love them too! Here’s why:

These crispy, chewy-gooey food bars are packed with healthy ingredients like fruits, nuts, honey, and crisp rice. And they are whole-grain, contain nine vitamins and minerals and soy- and gluten-free, with no trans-fats or high fructose corn syrup. JamFrakas come in five flavors, each with its own funky name: Chocolate Chip Cosmocrisp, Banana Chocolate Blastocrisp, Strawberry Crispiscrumptious, Peanut Butter Blisscrisp and Apple Crispalicious. We Love Fruit 2 Day

fruit 2 dayThis week, we love Fruit 2 Day, a delicious (and nutritious!) real fruit juice – and so much more. What’s not to love about a portion controlled container of real fruit juice and, oddly enough, fruit bits. Seriously. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. I will admit I was skeptical – although I love fruit smoothies, I’m not so in love with regular fruit juice and I bought this – somewhat pricey at $3.50 for 2 bottles – with a healthy amount of skepticism. Juice mixed with chunks of fruit sounded a bit odd. I was in for a treat. (more…)

We Love Today’s Farm Dried Fruit Snacks

todays farm dried fruit snacks

We’ve extended the giveaway! See below for details!

I love fruit. Love everything about fruit – the taste, the sweetness, the nutrition. The only thing I don’t love about fruit is the mess. Sometimes, I pack a fruit choice and by lunch time, it’s smooshed into an unrecognizable blob. I was delighted to receive four fruit choices from the new line of Today’s Farm dried fruit. I was sent pineapple, strawberry, apple cinnamon and peach. I can honestly say I’m now an addict. Two empty bags in one sitting is my proof. With the tag line, “Freeze dried crunchy fruit – Nothing like it,” this snack certainly made an impression on me.
