Catch this episode for inspiration and great information about weight loss.
Like many celebrities, Rosie O’Donnell has had to endure scrutiny over her weight while being in the public eye, and her new show, The Rosie Show, will tackle some of the issues she has encountered as not only an overweight celeb, but an overweight woman on the path to health.
Although her weight has gone up and down at times, she recently appeared at the Surprise Oprah show in June looking thinner than she previously had. During this appearance, several people complimented Rosie on her smaller size, but she admitted she wasn’t sure how much weight she’d lost, although she had been actively trying to lose weight.
As a less than slender celeb, Rosie has had to deal with the paparazzi and constant criticism of her weight through the years. At one point it was rumored that Rosie’s weight topped 300 pounds. Rosie didn’t comment on her reasons for trying to get in shape, but it’s great to see her efforts pay off.
Her new talk show, The Rosie Show, will be premiering on OWN network this October. Rosie’s show is filming in the HARPO studios in Chicago where the Oprah Winfrey show was filmed. Different from her previous talk show that focused on celebrity interviews, this time around, Rosie will be focusing on real people and real issues. Each show will be one hour long and focus on a single topic during that hour including raising children, America’s education system, autism, relationships, health, weight issues, and depression.
