We’re usually bombarded by images of thin women and those bordering on too thin, but tonight it seems the red carpet is hugged by curves. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Lawrence, and Reese Witherspoon are just a few women flaunting and embracing their curves – from breasts to hips! We love Hollywood’s slow departure from stick-thin back to a look that honors real women. You are in favor of this look, too.

Diet Buddies Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon Offer a Valuable Hollywood Weight Loss Tip

After drinking your water and getting plenty of exercise, buddying up is typically one of the top diet tips that experts offer. It provides accountability, someone to use as a sounding board, and someone to offer endless high fives when you need them most. It’s not just something we all use out here in the real world as it seems the Hollywood set believes in “diet buddies,” too.

Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon, both of whom delivered their third child this year, seem to have buddied up to support one another in getting back to their pre-baby bodies. According to reports from FemaleFirst.co.uk, the moms speed dial when their insatiable sweet tooths attack.

And since they’re practically neighbors, the two have been seen attending Pilates classes together.

If anyone is taking diet advice from Hollywood, we’d say this is the place to start. Forget the pills and potions and partner up instead!

“When dieting, there are many people who may unintentionally tempt you to break your commitment to healthier living through peer pressure. A diet buddy can be your support in these situations and other tempting scenarios,” explained Brooke Randolph, LMHC, our resident mental health expert. “Food can be closely tied to our emotions and mental functioning, so a diet buddy can also provide emotional support and commiseration.”

Reese Witherspoon to Stay Active During Pregnancy With Third Child

As speculations were continuing to rise that Reese Witherspoon was sporting a new baby bump, the news finally broke that she’s pregnant with her third child – which will be her first with husband Jim Toth. We couldn’t be more excited for the happy couple.

Reese, who turned 36 just last week,  already has two other children –  Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8 – both of which were from her first marriage to actor Ryan Phillipe. The two were married for seven years before a very public and painful split in 2006.

Regarding the split, Witherspoon admits to being too young when she married Phillipe, and that the timing just wasn’t right. But that it was an excellent learning opportunity for her to really find out what it means to be a partner in a marriage. And that being married was far more difficult than she thought it would be. On the upside, it seems Witherspoon has take the lessons learned from her first marriage and applied them to her second, which seems to be flourishing.

Ashley Borden’s Fitness Background

Ashley Borden is a personal trainer who currently offers private training and group classes in Los Angeles, CA. In 2008, she co-authored Your Perfect Fit with Paige Adams-Geller. This book combined fashion, fitness, and food tips and received high reviews. In 2010, she released her most recent workout video, Core Balance DVD with Gaiam.

Ashley battled an eating disorder in her youth. When she was 18, she learned to balance her life with nutrition and exercise through Overeaters Anonymous.

“After having such a profound recovery experience, I felt inspired to share my insight on exercise and nutrition with others,” she said.

So, her work as a personal trainer and fitness expert began. Ashley spent three years teaching fitness and exercise classes at the Four Seasons Punta Mita, Mexico. Today, she leads private fitness and wellness retreats in Newport Beach, CA, at the five star Pelican Hill Resort. During these four-day long retreats, participants enjoy personal training sessions, spa treatments, and meals, all of which follow Ashley’s S.O.S. Food Plan.

Reese Witherspoon Loves YogaHop

Recently, actress and mother Reese Witherspoon revealed to Shape magazine that in order to stay in shape, she is a regular at YogaHop classes. In addition to her usual jogging and hiking routines, Witherspoon finds time to sneak in these 90-minute action-powered classes that set yoga postures to hip hop, rock and pop music for an invigorating workout.

While many yoga practitioners prefer to down-dog in silence, YogaHop classes provide the same stress reducing and calming effects of traditional yoga classes but to music.
