For one of the most spectacular finishes in Biggest Loser history, this season’s contestants were impeccably styled in fabulous designer clothes, the hottest colors of the season and figure flattering silhouettes.

The night started with the oldest couple, Jerry and Estella, who graced the stage with elegance and style in a classic navy and white color palette. Jerry wore a pinstripe vest and trousers alongside Estella, who looked absolutely stunning in her Tadashi dress. Its retro-inspired neckline complimented her new svelt figure in a fresh and modern way.

Next, the newly engaged couple, Damien and Nicole, rocked the stage, commanding our attention in slick red and black to commemorate their team color! Damien exuded his unique brand of confidence and charisma in an Italian tailored Pronto Uomo suit, courtesy of Men’s Warehouse. His flashy red tie and kerchief surpassed only by his glowing smile at he and partner, Nicole’s, obvious at-home success. They were both glowing with pride at what they had accomplished together, and looked both healthy and more in-love than ever (if that’s even possible!).

Nicole’s scene-stealing dress was custom made by Amsale, the same designer who is creating her wedding gown for their August ceremony. The simplicity of her backless jersey dress with sexy plunging neckline accentuated her toned arms and shoulders. A stylish red obie belt sealed the deal, cinching her waistline to reveal her hourglass figure.

Perry Ellis and Men’s Warehouse sponsored the menswear, providing strong entrances by all the men- in the finest designer suits and separates this stage has ever seen!

Mike opted for a more contemporary look with a striped button-down shirt and slim cut pants while Blaine looked sharp in his tailored blazer.  Both wore designer, Perry Ellis.

The rockstars of the night were Diamond Nexus laboratories. They provided most of the bling by way of delicate and statement diamond earrings and necklaces worn by most of the women, as well as stand-out watches for the men, proving that diamonds are everybody’s best friend, especially on this exciting night to remember.

Eveningwear Designer Tadashi was the the star of the show for women. In edition to Estella’s age-approriate elegance, Carla, Cathy and Kristen wore stunning, rich jewel tones and gorgeous shapes that flattered their new bodies beautifully! Carla claims her finale outfit “made me feel like a million bucks!! When I walked out on that stage, you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t FLY!!!” Her stretch satin belted number was a Tadashi design in a metallic eggplant color. The interesting thing is, when she saw the same dress in another color at Nordstrom’s, she didn’t care for it. But when the stylist pulled the same dress in a different color, Carla was sold! “The dress was very flattering to my curvacious figure, it fit in all
the right places, and allowed me to POP MY COLLAR!!!”.

Carla is excited about updating her wardrobe after losing 128 pounds because she says, “I don’t have to buy clothes with those unflattering floral prints and patterns anymore!”

Cathy and Kristen lit up the stage in their colorful cocktail dresses, both by Tadashi. Looking 10 years younger, Cathy’s dress complimented her new hair color and complexion. But right behind her, Kristen’s one shoulder fuchsia choice paired with purple stilettos was absolutely gorgeous!

Sione chose a matching vest and suit pants by JOE, Joseph Abboud from Men’s Warehouse.  The lavender collared shirt pulled the look together, showing off his slim, yet muscular physique.

“I felt very skinny walking onstage because it showed my ripped new body!” Sione proudly commented. He loves shopping now that he can buy the latest in fashion without worrying if they have his size. He also wore a blinged out watch from Diamond Nexus.

Laura looked adorable in a black jersey halter dress by Maggy London at Macys. The babydoll silhouette couldn’t have been more perfect for Laura who is always camera-ready!  But make no mistake, this dress made her look sizzling hot, a very sexy choice!

The Winner
Helen was a shining star in her pink satin rouched dress by Suzy CHIN for Maggy Boutique. She also wore a Diamond Nexus necklace and earrings. Her winning look more than erased years from her age! She also added $250,000 to her purse for many high-end designer dresses to come!

In the end, styling credit goes to Liza Whitcraft, who is also the costume designer for the Biggest Loser, and Pamela Sullivan. Their eye for style and creative finishing touches created the polished, coordinated looks that make this the most memorable and fashionable finale in recent history.

Biggest Loser 7 Finale Fashion

She earned a spot back on the Biggest Loser ranch in week 13, by losing 87 pounds on her own. Fellow contestants and fans alike were astonished. The weight loss pushed right into second place in the house, and made her an instant competitor. Unfortunately, a week at the ranch caused Nicole to gain five pounds, and she was eliminated once again from the game. The contestants often remind viewers that they can and should lose the weight at home, that earning a spot on the popular reality program is a slim-to-none chance. Fans rallied around Nicole and begged for her secrets, which she shared with People Magazine.

“I was going to be one of those people who proved it,” she told the magazine. In the three page spread she describes how her eating and fitness patterns changed. The best news of all, anyone can make these changes.

• She uses the Biggest Loser Calorie Counter and a food scale to manage portion control and a calorie budget.

• Seasons food with Mrs. Dash herbs and spices (salt-free).

• Mexican food is a favorite. She traded fried chimichangas for fajitas with whole-grain tortillas and once a week has baked tortilla chips with salsa.

• She has slowly become a runner, and works out until she can’t speak and has a good sweat. She started about by slowly jogging for one minute, then walking for two, and has progressed to jogging 10 miles a day.

• Motivates herself with a “before” picture and is committed to never going back.

• She’s loves cardio – getting in a 10 mile jog five mornings a week, plus spin or kickboxing classes in the evening.

• Focuses on strength training three days a week. Nicole uses 5 and 10 pound weights for bicep curls, tricep dips, shoulder presses, walking lunges. Between sets she jumps rope or does jumping jacks.

Nicole has had to make a lot of adjustments to her lifestyle to continue losing weight. She currently weighs 162 pounds and wears a size 12, with plans to be a size 8 for her June wedding. She follows a 1500 calorie per day diet, and some of the swaps she’s made look like this:

• Breakfast was cheesy eggs with bacon and pancakes. Now it’s oatmeal with fresh fruit and a hard-boiled egg.

• Lunch was fast food. Now it’s a salad with chicken and fresh fruit.

• Dinner was meat and potatoes with a dressing-drenched salad. Now it’s grilled fish with lots of veggies.

• For dessert she would have ice cream or cake. Now it’s just a serving of almonds.

Biggest Loser Nicole’s At-Home Weight Loss Story

Even though her return to the ranch was a short one, Nicole feels that she was on that ranch for a week for a reason. She’s realizing that she is a strong woman and she is happy to be the person inspiring millions of Americans that they don’t need a “magical ranch” to lose the weight. When Nicole stepped on the scale during Tuesday night’s weigh-in, she was shocked and speechless with the results – five pounds gained. She couldn’t even begin to explain the emotions and stress from the week. Her return to the ranch was right as game play became a huge topic for everyone. She was greeted with warm welcomes and bombarded with scenarios of percentages and other game play issues. The stress of the week took a toll on her body and caused her to gain five pounds from fluid fluctuation.

Nicole has learned to love working out and is excited to call herself a runner, something she never thought she would say. It’s safe to say that believing in herself has helped Nicole reach new heights and live the best life imaginable. Since being eliminated in week 13, Nicole is beaming with happiness and she’s proud of everything she’s accomplished so far. She remains successful in her journey by finding balance and using her toolbox of tools as she plans out her complete schedule of working out, eating right and of course, wedding planning (engaged to teammate Damien Gurganious). She’s lost 107 pounds so far and plans to reach her goal weight and dazzle us at the finale.

Interview with Nicole Brewer, Eliminated Biggest Loser Week 13

Damien Gurganious has lost 85 pounds since starting Biggest Loser 7.

The elimination for Biggest Loser week three appeared to be in the bag – Damien Gurganious would move on to week four and hopefully bring fiancee Nicole back into the game. However, his competitors thought differently, and voted out Damien instead of Joelle. He says he thinks the decision was made because he was much bigger competition than Joelle. He’s OK with it though, because he’s doing better at home. Damien explained that being in your own environment with access to the confidants and friends who inspire him is much better than being at the ranch. Plus, he has Nicole.

He said when he came home after his week three elimination, “Nicole was dumbfounded for about 20 seconds.” But no where near the fireworks we anticipated seeing other contestants receive if faced with returning home.

They’re now working closely together each day, and learning what the other needs to be successful. He says there’s a lot of pressure and if one of them says “give me 20 minutes alone,” they understand and oblige. In addition to giving each other space, three things they are focused on that you can follow too are:

1. Watching calorie intake.
2. Getting a minimum of 90 minutes of cardio in the morning and 90 minutes of cardio at night.
3. Drinking plenty of water
   

   Nicole and Damien plan to wed in June 2009.

Damien and Nicole are also steering clear of temptation because their bodies are simply rejecting the food. He used bacon as an example. “My body hasn’t had fat in months,” he said. And if he tried to eat real bacon, “my stomach’s upset for two days.” They also stopped adding salt to food, this coming from a guy who says he “puts salt on salt.”

As they prepare for June wedding, Damien said he’s looking forward to trying on a nice Italian tux, instead of the 60″ waist, powder blue with ruffles version he was going to have to wear previously. They’re also happy about the positive changes their weight loss has introduced to their lives, like being able to sit comfortably together in a plane or at the movies, and taking three hour bike rides. “We’re experiencing life again for the first time in new bodies.”
