This month Ivanka Trump graces the cover of the Shape magazine, showing off her slim and strong post-baby body. Trump has lost about thirty pounds since having her second baby, which is a photo-worthy accomplishment. (The Shape cover was taken just a few months after Trump’s baby was born.) So how did she do it?
Trump discussed a few of her key moves, including how she fits workouts into her busy life as a mother, with the magazine: “I’ll take the stairs instead of the elevator, or when I’m on a phone call I’ll do squats or pace the room when I’m talking,” she saidd. Trump also said that she eats a lot healthier since becoming a mother, focusing on lean proteins instead of pasta and pizza.
But Trump isn’t the only celebrity mom to recently revel in her new post-baby body. Several stars are talking about losing the baby weight. Here are two more of our favorite moms who have recently made headlines: (more…)
Melissa Joan Hart is celebrating her one-year anniversary as spokesperson for Nutrisystem, and in the latest commercial, she’s revealing her very summer-ready body. Over the weekend she provided a sneak peek at her results when she Instagrammed a bikini pic with the caption, “It’s not everyday I like to show a lot of skin but these days I’m feeling confidant. Thanks Nutrisystem!”
In December, our managing editor and self-described fan-girl, Brandi, spoke with the Melissa and Joey star about her experience with Nutrisystem. The actress praised the meal delivery diet saying, “It’s a simple system for any mom to use.” “It takes the guesswork out.” Melissa started the diet six months after her third child, Tucker, was born in an attempt to lose postpartum weight.
Looking super cute in a floral print dress, Melissa appeared on Good Morning America yesterday where she spoke with Laura Spencer about life with three young kids, her 40 pound weight loss and how she stays in shape with such a busy schedule.
Staring down a new year’s resolution looks a little different for actress Melissa Joan Hart this year. Now in what she’s calling maintenance, the star of Melissa and Joey is “no longer trying to lose weight, just to maintain a healthy lifestyle.” That’s her goal for 2014, when she will celebrate a one year anniversary as spokeswoman and client of Nutrisystem.
After delivering her third son in fall of 2012, she, like just about most women, had postpartum weight to lose. She turned to the meal delivery diet, which she calls “a little lifesaver,” and it has helped her get back to her fighting weight, so to speak.
“It’s a simple system for any mom to use,” she told us. “It takes the guesswork out.”
Any mom is faced with the seemingly daunting task of getting back in shape after delivering a child, but in Hollywood, the pressure is almost cruel. Hart told us that this group of famous moms are “ridiculed, almost like bullied,” and says it’s tricky being in the spotlight because “everyone wants to see how fast you can lose it.” She calls the situation unfair, but digresses that “it’s our job, it’s what we do.” And for this busy working (and acting) mom of three, it’s good motivation “to be as healthy as I can while putting my children first.”
She admitted to rushing through breastfeeding in the past so that she could start a crash diet and lose the weight, but that wasn’t the case this time around. Almost six months after delivering her third son, she started Nutrisystem. Thanks to the ease and variety of the brand’s wide menu, the only resolution Hart is taking on this year has a lot more heart itself. “I’m focused on my children and more playtime with them,” she said. In the ’90s, Melissa Joan Hart explained how to balance the ups and downs of being a teenager. Now, as Nutrisystem’s newest brand ambassador, she’s ready to share how the meal delivery weight loss system helped her lose 30 pounds. The actor and mother of three is the star of Nutrisystem’s most recent commercials, and discusses how the weight loss system worked for her.
When she assumed her role as brand ambassador, Hart talked about how Nutrisystem had been working for her already.
“The program is really delivering results for me and I look forward to long term success, staying motivated and helping others at the same time.”
She certainly has experienced great success on the program, which she started after the birth of her third son. In a press release, Hart said, “I had heard rave reviews about Nutrisystem. My sister-in-law had great success with it and I decided that I had to try the program out for myself. It’s easy and fits in perfectly with my busy life. I get to eat all the foods I love like pasta, burgers, chocolate and ice cream. Who knew that losing the weight and getting back into shape could taste so good!”
Most Americans make the same promise to themselves at the new year, and it doesn’t matter if you live on Main St. or Hollywood Blvd. We all want to lose weight, look fitter, and feel stronger, and the celebrity set isn’t any different from us, except that they do it under the watchful guise of millions. That’s why we want to celebrate the weight loss efforts of a few of these stars.
As we close out the first quarter of the year, several have posted positive returns on those weight loss resolution investments!
CeeLo Green is down more than 12 pounds toward a 50 pound goal since launching the new year as a spokesman for eDiets. When we spoke to the company’s marketing team earlier this year they said CeeLo’s goal was to improve his health and not fixate on a number. The meal-delivery service seems to be a perfect addition to this busy singer’s life. (more…)
Melissa Joan Hart is about to explain it all for Nutrisystem. Hart, beloved 90’s actress, has been named the new spokeswoman for Nutrisystem. Millennials will remember her days starring in cult TV classics like “Clarissa Explains it All” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” but now the writer, producer, director, singer, and mother of three is adding “brand ambassador” to her resume.
Nutrisystem, a meal delivery weight loss system, has experienced a surge in relevance in recent years. Once a staple on the QVC home shopping network, the company began selling its merchandise at Costco stores in 2009. In 2012, Nutrisystem breakfast and snack foods could be found on the shelves of Kroger grocery stores.
Nutrisystem has been widely praised as effective and affordable, so it makes sense that the company chose one of the most affable and innocuous celebrities since Lawrence Welk. Since giving birth to her third child, Hart has lost 20 pounds on the diet. In a press release, Hart said, “The program is really delivering results for me and I look forward to long term success, staying motivated and helping others do the same.” (more…)
