Kourtney Kardashian Having Trouble Getting Nutrients During Second Pregnancy

When Kourtney Kardashian was pregnant with her son Mason in 2009, she maintained a strict diet and gained a healthy 40 pounds, which she shed quickly after the birth using the weight loss supplement QuickTrim.

Kardashian recently confirmed that she is expecting her second child with longtime boyfriend Scott Disick and says that this time, her diet will be different.

“I’m just eating whatever I can,” Kardashian has said. “Whatever I can tolerate. I think this [pregnancy] there is less I can tolerate.”

While many nutrition experts agree that listening to your body is an important part of eating a healthy diet during pregnancy, it is still key to eat a variety of foods. Moms-to-be who have morning sickness, intense cravings or lack appetite may have a more difficult time getting the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals they need.

Weight Gain Affects Khloe Kardashian’s Self-Image

Khloe Kardashian has said that she is always fighting up and down fluctuations in her weight. Even after a year and a half as a spokesmodel for QuickTrim diet and weight loss supplements, along with sisters Kim and Kourtney, she says that she has let herself go and re-gained the weight she had lost. Prior to marrying NBA player Lamar Odom, Khloe reported that she had lost 30 pounds with the QuickTrim supplements and increased exercise. She was even featured on E!’s “Remarkable Celebrity Body Bouncebacks.”

The variance can be seen in all the paparazzi photos of Khloe. Sometimes it is even difficult to recognize her. Khloe told Perez Hilton that she avoids reading what is written about her, yet comments about her weight still impact her. She is quoted, “I feel like no matter what I do, I never look good enough to everybody else.”

A New Mom’s Date Night in Biggest Loser Body’s Slimming Support Wear

The ultimate test in fitness isn’t so much a scale number as it is the way you fit in your jeans. So just two weeks after having my first baby this past spring I had a crazy moment and decided to slip into the jeans that had fit perfectly just nine months prior. No go. Disappointed? Of course. But it only fueled my already lit fire to get back in shape. While I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made in the past 5.5 months – the jeans fit and I recently completed my first half-marathon -  there’s still work to do.

Fast forward to a recent date night with my husband and I, of course, wanted to look my best. All the new-mom doubt about how I look turned on as soon as I slid the jeans on. They fit, but not how I’d like. So on this night, I decided to try my new Biggest Loser Body shaping capri. They’re Biggest Loser‘s version of Spanx – an elastic capri pant that seamlessly slides under your clothes to present a more smooth figure.

I’ve done the Spanx thing under slim-fitting dresses before, but never under pants. I was thrilled when the top I was wearing seemed to go from frump to fab. That extra “whatever” around my middle seemed to disappear. Best of all, I was comfortable!

I didn’t give the capri a second thought the rest of the night, and even scored a compliment from the hubs! Although, once back home, it totally had the “stuffed bra after a date” affect.

Kourtney Kardashian’s Post-Baby Weight Loss Pictures Photoshopped

kourtney kardashian baby weightOn December 14, 2009, Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Mason Dash Disick. She is quoted as saying that she gained 40 pounds – an entirely reasonable and typical amount for a normal, full term pregnancy. On the cover of the January 11, 2010 issue of Life & Style, OK! magazine displays a heavily Photoshopped image of Kardashian, and claims a “Kourtney’s Body After Baby Exclusive” on its cover, saying that she lost all of her pregnancy weight just a week after giving birth. Looking at the side-by-side photos, it’s clear that the magazine cropped Kourtney’s stomach and replaced her face with a slimmer one to illustrate her speedy weight loss.

Kardashian has come out in denial of this cover, reporting on Twitter, “One of those weeklies got it wrong again…they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks!” She was quoted in Women’s Wear Daily as saying, “They doctored and Photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not.”
