Have you ever noticed that celebrities almost always seem to be in great shape? I mean, they kind of have to; it’s their job. But I still wonder, “How do they do it? I mean, really, how do they do it?” Find out how Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, Amanda Seyfried, and Olivia Wilde keep their awesome bodies year-round.
Perry is known for wearing body baring, skimpy costumes on stage during her performances, so she has to stay in great shape in order to look good while jumping around on stage.
“[Katy] trains really hard with Harley Pasternak in LA,” said Jaimee Zanzinger, executive editor at Us Weekly. “They circuit train together. So she’ll go from hitting the treadmill to the jump rope.”
Kardashian has some amazing curves and she makes them even more impressive by maintaining an intense workout routine.
“When it comes to workouts, Kim Kardashian takes no prisoners,” said Zanzinger. “She goes from one move to another and really mixes it up. She runs, she does lunges and pull-ups. She focuses on moves that will allow her to keep those curves while blasting that body fat.”
She also avoids sugar in her diet and eats organic foods. Another interesting part of her workout is that she skips water breaks while exercising.
Khloe Kardashian has said that she is always fighting up and down fluctuations in her weight. Even after a year and a half as a spokesmodel for QuickTrim diet and weight loss supplements, along with sisters Kim and Kourtney, she says that she has let herself go and re-gained the weight she had lost. Prior to marrying NBA player Lamar Odom, Khloe reported that she had lost 30 pounds with the QuickTrim supplements and increased exercise. She was even featured on E!’s “Remarkable Celebrity Body Bouncebacks.”
The variance can be seen in all the paparazzi photos of Khloe. Sometimes it is even difficult to recognize her. Khloe told Perez Hilton that she avoids reading what is written about her, yet comments about her weight still impact her. She is quoted, “I feel like no matter what I do, I never look good enough to everybody else.”

The ultimate test in fitness isn’t so much a scale number as it is the way you fit in your jeans. So just two weeks after having my first baby this past spring I had a crazy moment and decided to slip into the jeans that had fit perfectly just nine months prior. No go. Disappointed? Of course. But it only fueled my already lit fire to get back in shape. While I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made in the past 5.5 months – the jeans fit and I recently completed my first half-marathon – there’s still work to do.
Fast forward to a recent date night with my husband and I, of course, wanted to look my best. All the new-mom doubt about how I look turned on as soon as I slid the jeans on. They fit, but not how I’d like. So on this night, I decided to try my new Biggest Loser Body shaping capri. They’re Biggest Loser‘s version of Spanx – an elastic capri pant that seamlessly slides under your clothes to present a more smooth figure.
I’ve done the Spanx thing under slim-fitting dresses before, but never under pants. I was thrilled when the top I was wearing seemed to go from frump to fab. That extra “whatever” around my middle seemed to disappear. Best of all, I was comfortable!
I didn’t give the capri a second thought the rest of the night, and even scored a compliment from the hubs! Although, once back home, it totally had the “stuffed bra after a date” affect. (more…)
