We lost some too soon (Robin Williams), are sending some to prison (Teresa Giudice), and saw many bring new babes in to the world. We also saw some lose and gain, for better or worse. The year brought to light a new roll of celebrities who now have before and afters to show off.

Biggest Loser experienced maybe their biggest controversy yet, when season 15 winner Rachel Frederickson came out on stage looking not quite as healthy as winners in the past. The Biggest Loser lost 60 percent of her body fat — a dangerously unhealthy final weight.

Speaking of (former) Biggest Losers, Jillian Michaels stripped down to show off her gorgeous body for Shape Magazine this summer. Chair Pose (utkatasna) – Although you should mostly feel this in your thighs, your booty should be doing a great deal of the work. This is another secret pose that quickly tones your legs, thus giving you a more shapely appearance. Remember to keep your pelvic bone tucked.

Bridge Pose ( setu bandha sarvangasana) – This will surely fire up your glutes, as well as provide more toning for the hamstrings. Try adding a block in between your knees for better alignment and an increased squeeze!

Kim Kardashian Uses Atkins Diet to Lose 25 Pregnancy Pounds, She ‘Luvs it’

Kim Kardashian is following the Atkins Diet to lose her pregnancy weight. The reality TV star, who’s recently stepped out with blond locks and a slimmer figure, shared the news on Twitter during an impromptu Q and A Sunday.

An Atkins rep told us that “She is eating lots of lean proteins, healthy fats like nuts and avocado, carbs, fruits, veggies, and cheese.” Reports suggest Kim has lost between 20-25 pounds since adopting Atkins and birthing North. For the always trendy Kim, her choice to go with a half-century old diet concept is a bit shocking. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Pregnant Kim Kardashian Craves Sushi and Diet Coke, Works Out with Tracy Anderson

The second most-watched baby bump (after Kate Middleton) is the queen of reality TV, Kim Kardashian. Since the announcement of her pregnancy with Kanye West, Kim has been asked about her cravings in every interview.

During an interview with E News, Kim said she is craving “sushi, but I know I can’t really have it, so I’m eating a lot of carrots and celery with lots of ranch.”

According to AmericanPregnancy.org, the highest mercury-level fish (shark, swordfish, ahi tuna) should be avoided during pregnancy, while mothers can have three, six-ounce servings of high mercury fish (white albacore tuna, sea bass, grouper) in a month.

Kim, like a lot of expectant mothers, thought she could get away with eating anything, but she realized it wasn’t a good idea. OpposingViews Entertainment reported Kim as saying, “I used to always say I can’t wait to get pregnant because I will just eat whatever I want, but it’s completely different, I’m like, OK, I want to eat as healthy as possible.”

“You won’t need to lose baby weight if you don’t gain it,” Jillian Michaels has told us. “It takes about 55,000 calories to make a baby.  This breaks down to about 200-300 extra calories a day.”
