Khloe Kardashian Drops 10 Pounds the Right Way Before X-Factor Debut

Although Khloé Kardashian has tried her share of lose-weight-quick dieting strategies in the past, she revealed that her diet before her first appearance as co-host of The X-Factor consisted only of making healthier eating choices the old-fashioned way.

The 28-year-old told People magazine after the show that she trimmed down ten pounds by reducing her intake of sweets as well as cheese, a personal favorite indulgence, and working hard not to binge eat. She tries to keep up with a consistent exercise program and is changing her diet slowly to make sure she can realistically keep it up.

Kardashian said she’s learned that crash diets do not work long term. “When I used to do things like crash diets or things too fast, it never stuck because it wasn’t a lifestyle change,” she told reporters.

The star posed for the cover of Life & Style magazine in May 2012 for an article about how she lost 20 pounds in 20 days. Although that’s over the recommended amount of weight loss in such a short period of time, Kardashian said she did it through healthy meals prepared by her chef and extended daily workout sessions with her husband and a personal trainer.

Khloe Kardashian Drops 20 Pounds in 20 Days

Stars gain weight and we pay attention. And when stars lose weight, we become even more intrigued. The latest female celeb to slim down? Khloe Kardashian.

The youngest of the Kardashian sister clan, Khloe has struggled with weight and body image in the past. In the last year, she’s reportedly gained weight from a rocky patch in her marriage to basketball star Lamar Odom, and has even admitted that she’s an emotional eater who tends to gains weight when she goes through something difficult.

Of her past weight, the star admits that ‘her weight is always going up and down, and that she’s always fighting that and feels no matter what she does, she don’t look good enough to everybody else.’

“My weight is my biggest lifetime struggle,” she says. “It’s not the biggest thing in life, but it does get you down sometimes.”

But since picking up a new workout regimen with her hubby  – who’s currently training for the Summer Olympics – and cleaning up her diet, it’s been reported that Khloe’s lost an estimated 20 pounds in 20 days, weighing in around 155 pounds now and appearing trim and very healthy.

Kardashian-Endorsed QuickTrim Contains Raspberry Ketones

khloe kardashian and kin kardashian in purple bikinis Raspberry ketones have been a major subject of discussion in the weight loss world after Dr. Oz touted them on his show as a “miracle fat-burner.” Raspberry ketones are a widely available supplement on their own, but they are also an ingredient in several QuickTrim products. QuickTrim is the diet supplement promoted by the Kardashian family and is credited with helping Kourtney Kardashian to shed her modest baby weight.

QuickTrim offers a number of different weight loss products, including a 14-day “Burn & Cleanse” that features pills and a liquid “Fast Cleanse.” Two of the QuickTrim diet supplements contain raspberry ketones: the “Extreme Burn” and “Hotstix.”

Extreme Burn is a pill that claims to boost the metabolism, causing it to burn more calories, in addition to curbing cravings and giving the user an energy boost. Other ingredients included acai extract, vitamin C, caffeine and a number of fruit extracts. This product is a stimulant, and may cause side effects such as increased heart rate.

Weight Gain Affects Khloe Kardashian’s Self-Image

Khloe Kardashian has said that she is always fighting up and down fluctuations in her weight. Even after a year and a half as a spokesmodel for QuickTrim diet and weight loss supplements, along with sisters Kim and Kourtney, she says that she has let herself go and re-gained the weight she had lost. Prior to marrying NBA player Lamar Odom, Khloe reported that she had lost 30 pounds with the QuickTrim supplements and increased exercise. She was even featured on E!’s “Remarkable Celebrity Body Bouncebacks.”

The variance can be seen in all the paparazzi photos of Khloe. Sometimes it is even difficult to recognize her. Khloe told Perez Hilton that she avoids reading what is written about her, yet comments about her weight still impact her. She is quoted, “I feel like no matter what I do, I never look good enough to everybody else.”
