We’re as guilty as anyone else, but it’s certainly that time of year to put together the lists. It’s a way for us to archive the time that has passed and even put it in to perspective. It’s also simply a lot of fun!
Yahoo’s Top Search terms for 2012 were just released, and as usual, the list is littered with celebrity names. The election took the number one spot this year, so at least we’re looking for a little bit of substance when we’re not searching for Lindsay Lohan’s latest shenanigans or how much weight a Kardashian sister has or hasn’t lost.
This year’s top 10 search terms aligned quite nicely with some of the biggest trending topics in diet and weight loss, namely for their celebrity connections.
We don’t know if has made any top baby name lists yet, but Kate was certainly the name to have on Yahoo! this year. Both Kate Middleton and Kate Upton made it in to the top 10 searches.
The Duchess ranked, no doubt, for the ridiculous photo scandal that never should have happened, but everyone also had a keen eye on her weight. That’s sure to become a point of continued interest as she and her prince announced they’re pregnant with the next royal heir this week. She made The Dukan Diet famous during her wedding planning, so whatever method she uses to lose the baby weight will no doubt become all the rage, too.

Today, People Magazine announced its annual list of the World’s Most Beautiful Women; the magazine hits newsstands tomorrow, April 27. Gracing the 2012 cover is new mom and Hollywood super star Beyonce, who will be joined by nearly 180 other women who define beauty.
The top ten list includes some of the biggest television, music, and movie stars of the past year. What we like about all of them, including Miranda Lambert, Charlize Theron, and Christina Hendricks, is that they all embrace fit, active, healthy lifestyles. None of them are doing anything too extreme and all trying to practice moderation for the most part, not an easy task in the land of indulgence.
We’ve rounded up the diet and fitness techniques of this year’s top 10 most beautiful women.

Alright ladies (and slightly vain gents). Spring is in the air and that means one thing: It’s time to start thinking about shorts and skinny capri season.
If we can learn anything from Kate Middleton and her now famed curve-hugging ‘tangerine jeans,’ it’s that it’s never too early to start working on our gams in anticipation of warmer weather.
Kate was recently spotted at Olympic Park in London promoting the upcoming summer Olympics, playing field hockey in some seriously orange, hip-hugging jeans. And from the looks of her silhouette, she’s already figure-ready for spring and beyond.
So how can we get a royally fit bod like Kate’s? Of course it starts with nutrition. A lean body requires a healthy diet. I’m a firm believer that you can’t out-train bad eating habits. So start by making sure you’re incorporating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet, drinking lots of water, and cutting back on sugar, refined carbohydrates, and fatty meats.

Royal watchers will get an inside look at the first six months of marriage for Prince William and his new wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, in a special airing on NBC December 13. Hosted by Natalie Morales, “William & Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage” will delve deep into the personal lives of these newlyweds. Today we spoke with Matt Drury, executive producer, and Chris Jackson, Getty Images’ award-winning Royal photographer, who worked on the special and let us in on a little bit of what we’ll see on the program and what it’s like to work so closely with the couple.
We’ll see how William and Kate are building a private life that resembles normal as much as the most famous couple in the world can. Drury told us that their home is quite remote and that they do not have any live-in staff. He also noted some insight shared by Royal friend Ben Fogle, who said that the Duke and Duchess are very selective about the friends they associate with, suggesting an “informal agreement that if anyone does talk, they’ll very quickly find themselves banished from the inner circle.”
One of the things that no one ever discusses is Kate’s diet. In fact, Drury let us know that nothing about Kate’s diet will be revealed on the NBC special.

There will be no grazie to Grazia Magazine who recently photoshopped Kate Middleton‘s already thin frame down to waif size for their Royal Wedding edition cover.
After months of denying any alterations to the photo, Grazia finally admitted that the too-skinny result was a Photoshop accident. The magazine defended itself, saying there were no solo images of Kate leaving Westminster Abbey in her Alexander McQueen gown so a photo of the new couple had to be altered. Grazia editors photoshopped Prince William out of the photo, forcing them to copy over another arm for her and inadvertently making her appear smaller.
“[Grazia] would like to reassure all our readers that we did not purposely make any alternations to the Duchess of Cambridge’s image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression,” an apology statement read in the magazine.
