Diet Buddies Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon Offer a Valuable Hollywood Weight Loss Tip

After drinking your water and getting plenty of exercise, buddying up is typically one of the top diet tips that experts offer. It provides accountability, someone to use as a sounding board, and someone to offer endless high fives when you need them most. It’s not just something we all use out here in the real world as it seems the Hollywood set believes in “diet buddies,” too.

Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon, both of whom delivered their third child this year, seem to have buddied up to support one another in getting back to their pre-baby bodies. According to reports from FemaleFirst.co.uk, the moms speed dial when their insatiable sweet tooths attack.

And since they’re practically neighbors, the two have been seen attending Pilates classes together.

If anyone is taking diet advice from Hollywood, we’d say this is the place to start. Forget the pills and potions and partner up instead!

“When dieting, there are many people who may unintentionally tempt you to break your commitment to healthier living through peer pressure. A diet buddy can be your support in these situations and other tempting scenarios,” explained Brooke Randolph, LMHC, our resident mental health expert. “Food can be closely tied to our emotions and mental functioning, so a diet buddy can also provide emotional support and commiseration.”

Jennifer Garner Sculpted a Sexy Post-Baby Body with Trainer Valerie Waters

In a sea of exercise- and diet-obsessed celebs, Jennifer Garner is a beacon of normalcy. The 40-year-old actress is a mom to three little ones and wife to Hollywood heart throb Ben Affleck, and somehow manages to keep work and family life in proper balance.

We reported back in April that Garner stepped out for the first time post-birth to reveal an amazing post-baby body at a film event in Las Vegas. And since then, the star has slimmed down even more, showing off her sexy figure this week at a movie premiere in Los Angeles for the film The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

As reported by People Magazine, the busy actress made workouts a priority both during and after her pregnancy with the help of celebrity trainer Valerie Waters. Waters, who has also sculpted the bodies of A-list celebs like Kate Beckinsale, Bradley Cooper and Jessica Biel, has worked with Garner for more than a decade and says the star’s toned body is all thanks to her hard work and dedication.

“She’s looking so amazing right now,” said Waters. “She looks strong and sexy, and I like that she’s rocking her Lycra again!”

Jennifer Garner Steps Out to Reveal Beautiful Post-Baby Body

After staying tucked inside for most of her pregnancy and several months post delivery, actress Jennifer Garner stepped out and turned heads with her amazing post-baby body at a recent film event in Las Vegas.

Garner, 39, and husband Ben Affleck just welcomed their third child on Frebruary 27 –  a baby boy named Samuel Garner Affleck. Based off all of the reports, their baby is healthy and doing well – as is mom. Samuel makes the first boy of their little brood, and will play little brother to big sisters Seraphina, 3, and Violet, 6.

Garner proudly showed off her healthy post-baby figure in a lace nude Dolce and Gabanna dress at the CinemaCon Festival in Vegas, where she is slated to receive the 2012 CinemaCon Female Star of the Year Award.

We reported several weeks back that Jen was taking her time to shed her post-pregnancy weight, which we were happy to see. It’s not every day that you see a celebrity mom taking time away for her family and not rushing to fit back into a red carpet dress.

To get back in shape post-baby gradually, Garner walks a ton. And not to mention while carrying kids, which is an arm workout in itself. But she also invites a yoga instructor to her home several times a week so she can ease back into the routine of being active.

Jennifer Garner Puts Post-Baby Weight Loss on Hold

Jennifer Garner is making news for being normal. We think that’s refreshing for Hollywood. The 39-year-old actress gave birth to her third child on February 27 and hasn’t lost all her baby weight yet.

Garner and actor husband Ben Affleck welcomed baby Samuel to their family in February. The couple also have two daughters, Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. The busy mother admits she’d like to get back to her pre-baby body, however, she’s simply too busy caring for all her children to rush into a strict regimen just yet.

Garner does have a yoga instructor come to the home a few days a week, but that’s enough for her right now. Garner also feels she has gained more weight with this pregnancy as she was preoccupied with her two girls and struggled to eat as healthy as she could.

Simply put, Garner wants to lose the baby weight, it’s just not a priority for her right now. She’s motivated to get to it as she’s still wearing her maternity clothes, but she’s not going to rush it.

Valerie Waters is an American personal fitness trainer who lives in Los Angeles and has been offering fitness and workout regimes to celebrities for seventeen years. She is best known for being “Hollywood’s Hot Trainer,” according to US Weekly and for her amazing diet and fitness plan, Red Carpet Ready.

The Red Carpet Ready diet is a three-day detox program that helps uses lose weight rapidly, reduce bloat, and boost energy. The diet supplements are composed of three blends of herbs. There is not an exercise component to this diet.

Valerie has also created an exercise tool called Valslides. Valslides are portable foam or plastic disks that users can use to perform sliding moves that tone their abs, thighs, and butts.
