Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston Stay Slim and Sexy on the Alkaline Diet

Whenever a skinny celebrity speaks out about the diet she’s following everyone seems to listen, especially when she’s a former Spice Girl. Singer, wife of famed soccer player David Beckham, and fashion designer Victoria Beckham sent shock waves through the diet world years ago when she was seen toting around the diet book “Skinny Bitch. Not long after it became a bestseller. Coincidence? We think not. 

These days she’s at it again, peddling another diet trend that’s bound to blow up in a matter of seconds, especially considering other stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and Kirsten Dunst are on board, too.

As reported by Health, notoriously thin Beckham has recently been crediting her lean figure to the alkaline diet, which is more of a theory than a diet model in itself. The diet is all about keeping our body’s pH levels in balance through the foods we eat and perhaps more importantly, the foods we avoid.

Though research on the alkaline diet is limited, it’s based on the theory that because our blood is slightly alkaline – a normal pH level rage is between 7.35 and 7.45 – our diet should help promote and maintain that.

Jennifer Aniston Finally Spills on Her Day to Day Workouts

Jennifer Aniston was named the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2011 and she has been known for hitting the red carpet in great shape. She is currently promoting her latest movie Wanderlust with co-star Paul Rudd that will be in theaters February 24th. While promoting the movie, Aniston speaks openly about her current diet and exercise habits.

“I work out almost every day, at least five or six days per week,” she admits. “I do 40 minutes of cardio: spinning, running, the elliptical, or a combination of all three. Then I do Pilates one day a week, and I do yoga in addition to that, three days a week. I try to mix it up.” Being a busy actress, Jennifer also makes sure she’s prepared to get her workouts in when she’s on the road traveling. “I take eight pound weights with me whenever I’m staying at a hotel. It’s always good to do arm exercises when you’re watching television or talking on the phone. I also love to stretch before bed, and usually throw in a couple of sit-ups,” Aniston said.

Jennifer Aniston Voted Best Workout Buddy

Jennifer Aniston, known for her flawless skin and yoga-sculpted body, was voted best workout buddy and health inspiration.

In a survey at Fitness Magazine, the actress trumped Halle Berry, Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Bergara, Cameron Diaz and Blake Lively, but she wasn’t the only celebrity who placed. The survey poll results ranked Jennifer Hudson as Best Diet Spokesperson, Britney Spears as Best Career Makeover, and Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge for the Best Celeb Wardrobe.

Aniston was recognized for her ability to inspire people to work out, which is not surprising to those familiar with her diet, beauty and body routine. Aniston, who has been linked to The Zone Diet and Yogalosophy works out with Mandy Ingber. The Stir has reported that when Aniston is shooting a movie, she wakes up at dawn to work out for two hours per day, which includes yoga and time on the elliptical trainer or treadmill.

It has been revealed that Victoria Beckham has decided to lose her baby weight by adopting the practices of Yogalosophy. Beckham is determined to be a size eight by New York Fashion Week starting September 8th and has already started exercising at home just over a month after giving birth to baby girl Harper Seven.

Yogalosophy is a hybrid yoga program that combines toning exercises with yoga asanas, or postures, which gives you a sleek, toned look all over your body as well as a calm mind. Mandy Ingber, celebrity trainer and the woman responsible for Jennifer Aniston‘s flawless body, created Yogalosophy. Aniston has often talked about her dedication to a healthy lifestyle and has been working with Ingber for over ten years.

The good news for non-A-listers out there is that Ingber’s unique style of yoga is available on DVD for at-home use. The DVD provides instructions on how to perform each move and lose weight by following along with each challenging routine. The routines in the DVD consist of two 30-minute and one 55-minute workout. The program also gives advice to viewers on how to achieve inner peace and calm in addition to giving a great workout. Ingber is there every step of the way with encouraging words of wisdom both on the DVD and on her website which is updated frequently with “intentions of the month.”
