The Biggest Loser is kicking off yet another couples season on January 3. The motto for the season is “NO EXCUSES!” which is very fitting for the start of a new year. The two trainers on season 13 are Dolvett Quince and Bob Harper, who we had the opportunity to speak with this morning. He answered a few of our questions as we await tomorrow night’s season premiere.
Dolvett, Bob, and their teams are competing against each other, so the obvious question is, “How do the trainers get along?” At least, we and @wlcmomof3 on Twitter wanted to know. Bob told us they “get along just fine,” but he doesn’t focus on Dolvett because he is focused solely on his team during workouts. Behind the scenes, Dolvett and Bob do not get the opportunity to talk much as they are separated most of the time. It’s not like the Bob and Jillian Michaels duo that we’ve seen in seasons past!

New year’s resolutions are mostly synonymous with weight loss. It’s not a bad goal to set when you remember that about half of our country is considered obese.
We spoke with some of the diet and fitness world’s A-list to hear what their resolutions are for the coming year. While they are the pictures of health, many of them are also looking at introducing new habits to their lifestyles in the coming year. Many also model using resolutions to simply better themselves, be it a few less f-bombs or more time with family.
Click through to hear how Joy Bauer, Jillian Michaels, Dolvett Quince, Kirstie Alley, Kithe Brewster, Denise Austin, Tracey Mallett, and others will be resolving to make better choices in 2012.

“My resolution is to stop swearing. While I’m doing that, I’d love to see people quit smoking, eat better, and hit the gym in 2012.”
Fresh on the heels of John Rhode‘s amazing win in season 12 of the Biggest Loser, the show has announced details about season 13, which begins airing January 3.
When season 13 kicks off, contestants arrive at the Biggest Loser Ranch and receive some pretty shocking news: while they get there in teams of two, which includes a mother/daughter, father/son, brother/sister and husband/wife combination, they will be split from their loved ones and will have to compete against them!
Dubbed the season of “No Excuses,” the competitors are taken out of their comfort zone to face both physical and mental challenges like they never have before in their lives. Not to mention, one team won’t even make it on the ranch.

Making his Biggest Loser debut on Season 12, Dolvett Quince has many years working as a trainer and put out his own line of DVDs. He’s the founder of Body Sculptor, Inc., in Atlanta. In this season of the show, he starts off working out with the black team, which is made up of the youngest contestants. However, he says we’ll have to tune in to find out if that gets shaken up or not.
We chat about what the show is like after Jillian, and how he got cast this season. Dolvett also talks about his approach to exercise, and the guilty pleasure he just can’t turn down. Although he’s worked with celebrities like Justin Bieber, Dolvett is not a typical star trainer. He has lots of experience working with obese clients, including someone very near to him. We think Dolvett is a great addition to the show, and can’t wait to see how this season of The Biggest Loser unfolds.
