Update 10/6/09: Casting has closed and production on season 9 has begun.

If you’ve got what it takes to be the next Helen Phillips or Jerry Hayes, the newest winners of Biggest Loser, then consider applying to be a contestant. NBC has opened its casting doors for new contestants for season 9, which will air in Spring 2010.

Find out if you’re eligible and apply:

1. At least 18 years old
2. Family teams of two who have 100+ pounds to lose
3. Legal U.S. resident
4. Create a 10 minute video
5. Complete the application at NBC
   
6. Take a photo of each applicant
7. Mail entire packet

The casting producers will try to see the first 500 people in line. You’ll be asked to bring a non-returnable photo of yourself and your contestant, as well as the application available at NBC. You can line-up no more than three hours before the call begins.
