For one of the most spectacular finishes in Biggest Loser history, this season’s contestants were impeccably styled in fabulous designer clothes, the hottest colors of the season and figure flattering silhouettes.

The night started with the oldest couple, Jerry and Estella, who graced the stage with elegance and style in a classic navy and white color palette. Jerry wore a pinstripe vest and trousers alongside Estella, who looked absolutely stunning in her Tadashi dress. Its retro-inspired neckline complimented her new svelt figure in a fresh and modern way.

Next, the newly engaged couple, Damien and Nicole, rocked the stage, commanding our attention in slick red and black to commemorate their team color! Damien exuded his unique brand of confidence and charisma in an Italian tailored Pronto Uomo suit, courtesy of Men’s Warehouse. His flashy red tie and kerchief surpassed only by his glowing smile at he and partner, Nicole’s, obvious at-home success. They were both glowing with pride at what they had accomplished together, and looked both healthy and more in-love than ever (if that’s even possible!).

Nicole’s scene-stealing dress was custom made by Amsale, the same designer who is creating her wedding gown for their August ceremony. The simplicity of her backless jersey dress with sexy plunging neckline accentuated her toned arms and shoulders. A stylish red obie belt sealed the deal, cinching her waistline to reveal her hourglass figure.

Perry Ellis and Men’s Warehouse sponsored the menswear, providing strong entrances by all the men- in the finest designer suits and separates this stage has ever seen!

Mike opted for a more contemporary look with a striped button-down shirt and slim cut pants while Blaine looked sharp in his tailored blazer.  Both wore designer, Perry Ellis.

The rockstars of the night were Diamond Nexus laboratories. They provided most of the bling by way of delicate and statement diamond earrings and necklaces worn by most of the women, as well as stand-out watches for the men, proving that diamonds are everybody’s best friend, especially on this exciting night to remember.

Eveningwear Designer Tadashi was the the star of the show for women. In edition to Estella’s age-approriate elegance, Carla, Cathy and Kristen wore stunning, rich jewel tones and gorgeous shapes that flattered their new bodies beautifully! Carla claims her finale outfit “made me feel like a million bucks!! When I walked out on that stage, you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t FLY!!!” Her stretch satin belted number was a Tadashi design in a metallic eggplant color. The interesting thing is, when she saw the same dress in another color at Nordstrom’s, she didn’t care for it. But when the stylist pulled the same dress in a different color, Carla was sold! “The dress was very flattering to my curvacious figure, it fit in all
the right places, and allowed me to POP MY COLLAR!!!”.

Carla is excited about updating her wardrobe after losing 128 pounds because she says, “I don’t have to buy clothes with those unflattering floral prints and patterns anymore!”

Cathy and Kristen lit up the stage in their colorful cocktail dresses, both by Tadashi. Looking 10 years younger, Cathy’s dress complimented her new hair color and complexion. But right behind her, Kristen’s one shoulder fuchsia choice paired with purple stilettos was absolutely gorgeous!

Tadashi can be found at Bloomindales, and Nordstrom stores and online, and is also available at Saks 5th Avenue stores

Sione chose a matching vest and suit pants by JOE, Joseph Abboud from Men’s Warehouse.  The lavender collared shirt pulled the look together, showing off his slim, yet muscular physique.

“I felt very skinny walking onstage because it showed my ripped new body!” Sione proudly commented. He loves shopping now that he can buy the latest in fashion without worrying if they have his size. He also wore a blinged out watch from Diamond Nexus.

Laura looked adorable in a black jersey halter dress by Maggy London at Macys. The babydoll silhouette couldn’t have been more perfect for Laura who is always camera-ready!  But make no mistake, this dress made her look sizzling hot, a very sexy choice!

The Winner
Helen was a shining star in her pink satin rouched dress by Suzy CHIN for Maggy Boutique. She also wore a Diamond Nexus necklace and earrings. Her winning look more than erased years from her age! She also added $250,000 to her purse for many high-end designer dresses to come!

In the end, styling credit goes to Liza Whitcraft, who is also the costume designer for the Biggest Loser, and Pamela Sullivan. Their eye for style and creative finishing touches created the polished, coordinated looks that make this the most memorable and fashionable finale in recent history.

Biggest Loser 7 Finale Fashion

Two underdogs pulled through to take the Biggest Loser title, Helen Phillips, and the at-home prize winner, Jerry Hayes. It was one of the most exciting finales yet, with a lot to pack into the three-hour live event.

In addition to seeing the newest winners take their places in Biggest Loser history, we were also introduced to one of the newest contestants for the upcoming Biggest Loser season 8, Amanda. Sione and Filipe gave us one last taste of their Tongan culture, by performing the Maori Haka war chant, which got the entire crowd buzzing with adrenaline.

Interview with Helen Phillips — Biggest Loser Winner

It all started 17 weeks ago. Eleven couples began a journey to change their lives. This journey has given the final four contestants the ability to see what they are capable of. Ron, Helen, Tara and Mike have all been sent home for thirty days and will return to the ranch for one final weigh-in before the finale. This weigh-in will determine who is in the finale as the final three. It’s up to the contestants to find balance at home and make a system that works for their lives. As if transforming your home life to match your new body wasn’t tough enough, everyone receives a surprise package at their doorstep.

Everyone receives a DVD from Alison that reads “PLAY ME.” She has a very important message for the contestants, they have one more major accomplishment to conquer. For their final challenge they will be running a full marathon. Just 17 weeks ago, the thought of a marathon to most of these contestants was exactly that, just a thought.

Jillian and Bob make their way out to the contestants’ homes for a little one on one time with them to remind them that the game of the Biggest Loser will be over and the game of life is much bigger and more important. It’s Biggest Loser then the rest of your life. Helping the contestants find the balance they need along with the strength and determination to take their final challenge head on, everyone heads back to California with full focus.

Now for the challenge they will be running 26.2 miles and if they finish the race, $10,000 will be donated to the charity of their choice. With the support of their trainers, Biggest Loser’s and at-home winners, Michelle, Bernie, Ali, Jim, and Heba, the contestants received some great motivation and inspiration to cross the finish line. One by one, Tara, Helen, Mike and Ron, complete the marathon.

This week’s weigh-in will determine who is in the finale. With Helen and Tara safe above the yellow line, it will be up to America to vote in the third finalist. Ron and Mike, father and son, are below the yellow line together. America must choose who will compete with Tara and Helen in the live finale. Regardless, every contestants has worked so hard to get where they are. Everyone is a winner in this and getting your life back is the ultimate prize.

Coleen’s Biggest Loser Recap 7-18

“I hope that America votes Mike up,” pleads his father. A similar situation occurred with husband and wife duo Heba and Ed in season six, and fans ignored their pleas to send Heba to the finale, instead voting for Ed. When asked if they fear the same situation, Ron responded “Mike’s won enough hearts that Heba didn’t.”

And won hearts he has. Mike’s popularity amongst women young and old, single and attached, seems to grow with each pound he sheds. He said he’s oblivious to the extra attention right now, as he’s focused on the finale, but maybe in a few months that tide will change! That’s likely as he heads back to the Michigan State University campus this fall. He said that’s when finding normalcy will finally settle in. Because of his experience on the Biggest Loser he’s returning as an athletic training major, a switch from human biology.

You’ll also find Mike running a half-marathon May 31 in Ann Arbor. He said if he runs another full marathon, he’ll do it right this time and train properly. Ron doesn’t see himself running anymore marathons, but is glad to say that he did it. They each completed a 26.2 mile course through varied California terrain in week 18. Due to separate injuries, they were both forced to walk, rather than run, the entire way. Mike’s final time was 8:58:02, which earned him $10,000 toward his choice charity, St. Jude’s. Ron cleared the finish line with a time of 13:15:48, with a lot of support from former contestants like Bernie, Michelle, Ali and even trainer Bob Harper, and gave his check to Active Faith. Toward the end he said all he could think was “just get me off this damn sand!”

Ron and Mike aren’t the only Morelli men expected to debut their new, fit bodies at the May 12 live finale. Son and younger brother Max earned his own recognition this season. He’s 17-years-old, too young to join the show, and weighs around 400 pounds. It’s been an emotional journey for Max to see the success enjoyed by his father and brother, and it’s given him the fire to win his own weight battle. Ron says Max has lost 20 pounds in just seven weeks, and reminds that is a healthy rate of weight loss for someone outside the ranch. Ron says they were hoping to “carve 100 pounds off of him by finale,” but both Bob and Jillian recommended weight loss of about two to three pounds per week.

Both Ron and Mike walked away from the Biggest Loser ranch having learned a similar lesson — If you just do the work, if you make a plan and stick to it, the weight will come off. They remind that “If you’re waiting for your Biggest Loser moment to happen, don’t wait.”

Vote for the Biggest Loser Finalist – Ron or Mike?

Ali takes the contestants on a trip down memory lane to remind them of how far they’ve come in 17 weeks on the ranch. After seeing themselves at the start of this journey, the contestants find out that this is the last week they will all be on the ranch. At the end of the week, they’ll all be heading home. Tara, Helen and Mike take a spin in their goal outfits and acknowledge their hard work to this point.

At a check up with Dr. Huizenga, the contestants find out how losing the extra weight has changed their bodies for the better. Seeing the physical difference between pictures and medical stats from week one to now, the changes are amazing. By losing more than 100 pounds, Helen has taken 10 years off of her biological age!

This week’s challenge had the contestants carrying their weight all over again. There were 16 hills to represent each week they’ve all been on the ranch. At each hill, the players will be able to “lose” the amount of weight they lost that week until they get to the final hill and they will symbolically “let go” of their weight by throwing it over the edge. First place winner has the choice between $10,000 and a one pound advantage. Lucky for the second place winner because they get the prize first place doesn’t take. Tara fought her way to first place as Mike brought it in at second place.

During the last chance workout, the trainers were surprised with “Train the Trainer Day,” where the contestants got to give Jillian and Bob a little of their own medicine. But it didn’t last long before Jillian and Bob had everyone on the floor sweating buckets.

This week’s weigh-in will determine who the final four in this game will be. Everyone had an amazing week, but even with his 10 pound loss, Filipe fell below the yellow line. Joining him was Ron who lost 9 pounds. The teams voted to send Filipe home, leaving Ron as part of the final four.

Filipe, who is not only inspiring a nation, he’s inspiring his family and culture to make healthy changes. Since being eliminated Filipe has been paying it forward to family, friends and anyone who wants to join in his backyard exercise group. With Filipe losing more than 140 pounds, he’s going to be tough competition for the at-home prize.
