UPDATE: Watch our interview with Dolvett Quince live from The Ranch during week one!
NBC’s The Biggest Loser is set to begin filming Season 12 this week in Southern California. Well known for helping contestants transform their lives with astronomical weight loss, the trainers are arguably the best part of the show. Many tune in each week to see with what Jillian, Bob, Cara and Brett will challenge the contestants. With the announcement that Jillian Michaels has left the show, rumors swirled as to who would fill the slot. Anna Kournikova was announced at the live finale of season 11, but there were rumors that there was at least one more trainer to be added.
Today, NBC announced that the final trainer will be Dolvett Quince. The founder of Atlanta’s Body Sculptor, Inc., he’s been the city’s go-to trainer for more than ten years. Recently, he toured with Justin Bieber for three months, creating a diet and fitness plan to keep the superstar in top physical condition.
Biggest Loser fans are buzzing with speculations that tennis star Anna Kournikova will be replacing Jillian Michaels on the next season of The Biggest Loser. Weather or not this rumor proves to be true, Kournikova certainly seems to be in great shape. So what is Kournikova’s approach to staying thin?
Unlike Jillian Michaels, who was once heavy and went through the struggle of weight loss, Kournikova is naturally tall and thin. But she doesn’t necessarily eat whatever she wants. “All in moderation. I try to eat a balanced diet but do not deprive myself of the occasional splurge,” she writes in the Question and Answer forum on her website. “I like plain Corn Flakes. My favorite meal really depends on what mood I am in but over all I could eat pizza anytime.” She adds that she likes all kinds of salads and raw veggies, but also enjoys the occasional indulgence. “If I am going to have something that rich I would rather have a good piece of cake.” Kournikova says she even goes to McDonald’s from time to time.

UPDATE: 5/24/11: During the live Biggest Loser 11 finale, Alison Sweeney announced that Anna Kournikova will be joining the ranch as a trainer for season 12. The leggy tennis star then walked out on the stage, much to the surprise of the live audience, and expressed her enthusiasm for being a part of the show. She also congratulated the current contestants on their success.
News is spreading quickly that the 29-year-old tennis star will be the show’s next trainer, and NBC will not confirm either way. We received this comment from our publicity contact: “We can’t comment at this time on the multiple casting rumors surrounding the show, but look forward to making a big announcement about season 12 of “The Biggest Loser” at our season 11 live finale next Tuesday, May 24 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.” Anna made an appearance during season nine as a guest star, offering motivation to the contestants during a tennis challenge, but does she have what it takes to move them all the way to finale?
