While getting educated in nutrition, learning how to eat and cook healthy, and learning portion control, Ruby’s diet consists of three meals and two snack daily provided by Hourglass Weight Loss and Fitness program (I’m going to call it HWLF for short).
This program is only available in Georgia, with two locations in Savannah and one in Pooler. HWLF provides a great approach to weight loss, offering fully prepared, never-frozen, preservative-free, calorie-conscious meals (the website claims to feed you for $7/day). The meals from this program are in line with the guidelines of the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society to improve your health and help you lose weight.
By visiting their website, you can contact them to receive one meal free and find out how to order the meals so you can start your weight loss journey (you don’t have to join the complete HWLF program). There are several different meal options you can choose from, with calories ranging from 1200, 1400, 1700 and 2100, enabling you to be provided the right calories to promote healthy weight loss. Ruby, the star of her own new Style Network program, has a meal plan that looks like this:
Breakfast: Whole grain waffles with roasted cinnamon apricots and pecans. Ricotta cheese. Diet syrup.
Lunch: Creamy four-cheese stuffed pasta shells topped with rustic tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Fresh yellow crookneck squash and peppers.
Dinner: Cran-Asian grilled chicken topped with a dry cranberry compote over steamed brown rice. Cabbage, celery, leek and water chestnut stir fry.
This program also provides a complete, all-around, fast, 30-minute circuit workout, one-on-one attention to keep you on track and help achieve your goals, and is physician owned and endorsed. HWLF also offers an online component to help with your weight loss goals, using a system known as MYTRAK. “MYTRAK is a computerized training system helping to ensure Hourglass members never plateau. HWLF offers INTERxVENTUSA® Online Lifestyle Management Program, a web-based tool that allows members additional health and nutritional information via a complementary Internet interface.”
