Gym Music Playlist of the Week: Best Music of 2010

As the New Year approaches, we need to find new ways to inspire ourselves to get out and exercise. The good news is that even if you have overindulged in holiday food, there is something about those New Year’s resolutions that give us a fresh store of motivation. Why not get a head start on next year’s goals?

Before we say goodbye to 2010, let’s take a look at some of the best music that was put out this year. As I get older, I find myself more and more interested in music from yesteryear, but I still try to keep up with what’s going on in today’s music scene. As always, there is plenty of interesting and inspiring music that makes up for whatever shortcomings there are on the charts.

Remember, these are just songs that come from my own taste in music (which tends to be more indie than pop). I’ve also made sure to pick songs that work well as motivation in an exercise routine.
