Good article. Very well presented. While I think that the best way to raise awareness about the cruelty inflicted on animals raised for food and promoting veganism is to be patient, kind and allow people to come to their own decisions. However, I disagree on one point. Since a main tenant of yoga is ahimsa, veganism is essential. I think everyone would agree that it is wrong to cause unnecessary suffering. Since humans do not need to eat meat, dairy or eggs to survive (actually we are much healthier when we don't eat meat, dairy or eggs) the suffering endured by animals who are raised and killed for their flesh and bodily excretions is unnecessary suffering. People who pay for meat, dairy and eggs are paying for unnecessary suffering. So, while I will give people who don't know any better a break for eating meat, dairy and eggs I do not think it is appropriate to say that one can be a good person and still eat meat. One cannot be a good person and support unnecessary suffering.
