New Yorkers looking for new ways to relax, stay fit and get active won’t want to miss Alive & Well in Brooklyn this Sunday. It’s a free health and wellness fair in Park Slope that will feature speakers, demos and more.  “This is a fantastic opportunity to try out different treatments without having to spend anything,” says Heather Alexander, one of the featured speakers and event organizer. “Pick up discount cards and get advice, then choose what you think will really make a difference to your life.”

Heather is the founder of the Brooklyn Classical Reiki Center, and will be presenting reiki techniques. Here are some of the other presenters:

  • Francesco Clark, author Walking Papers
  • Ellie Herman, author and Pilates expert
  • Laura Gabbe, who will be presenting about acupuncture for women
  • Michael McComiskey, member of the board of directors to The National Qi Gong Association

There will also be ongoing demos and one-on-one consultations throughout the day from many of the other exhibitors. You can even sign up to make your own skincare products, and sample healthy organic foods.
