For 16 weeks, Lori Jackson, a mom of three and grandmother to two, will be checking in with DietsInReview.com to share her personal experience with Nutrisystem. The good, the bad, and everything in between, see first-hand how the Nutrisystem program works.
Hope your week has been as wonderful as mine. Had a birthday this week and finally got most of the new place unpacked. And got to spend time with my two daughters, two granddaughters, my mother and my great son-in-law. That is all I need for a birthday. My daughter made a wonderful dinner for me of salmon, asparagus, and roasted sweet potatoes. I love that with the Nutrisystem meal plan we are not strapped to our micro dinners all the time, that we can step out and eat regular foods and still stay in the realm of the plan.
At work today they had a fabulous chocolate cake and the man that made it for me would have been totally heartbroken had I not partaken in his masterpiece. He has known for a while that I love chocolate and cake. So I cut the smallest piece I could get away with and enjoyed that little bit of heaven, and let myself stop there. I knew had I went for one in the afternoon I would just be breaking all the rules. I’m finally learning the self-control that is needed to maintain the weight I have lost and will continue to lose. That is one of the most important lessons we all need to learn in weight loss and maintenance: without self-control we will all just end up right where we started.
With the Nutrisystem meal plan all the fruits, veggies, and snacks help with the impromptu urges and snacking that occur throughout the day. I know that is what I thought was going to be the biggest struggle with Nutrisystem. But I have figured out with everything they have to offer and sticking to the plan itself is teaching me portion sizes and also GOOD AND BAD CHOICES.
So once again I just want to shout out a great big THANK YOU to Nutrisystem for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the weight loss experience and for teaching me a few new tricks in the process. Take care everyone and enjoy your week. Do a couple extra crunches for me!
