Twin Labs Yeast Fighters Ingredients and Side Effects

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters is unique in the way that, this product contains yeast cleansing ingredients, as well as probiotics and prebiotics — which brings a more holistic approach to candida balance than many of the others products we’ve encountered. Here are the active ingredients used to make this product:

Pau d’Arco Black Walnut Onion Extract Lactobacillus Acidophilus
Garlic Golden Seal Caprylic Acid

Pau d’Arco: The bark of the pau d’arco tree is used to treat bacterial, fungal and viral infections in the body and may work to eliminate parasites and yeast overgrowth.

  • Side effects may include internal bleeding, diarrhea, severe stomach pain, dizziness and vomiting.

Black Walnut: Black walnut contains a high tannin content, which may provide anti-inflammatory properties to users when ingested. This ingredient is thought to kill off parasites in the body and may act as an antifungal and antibacterial agent.

Onion Extract: Onion may sometimes be used for medicinal purposes—particularly for heart and blood vessel issues, bronchitis, asthma, sore throat, bruising, gas, diabetes and parasitic worms.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus: A bacterium that exists inside the body, lactobacillus acidophilus is often taken as a supplement to treat bowle issues like IBS, diarrhea, recurring stomach issues like constipation or gas, and to boost immune health.

Lactobacillus acidophilus may also be effective in treating and preventing vaginal infections like BV or yeast infections.

Golden Seal: Golden seal is a flower in the buttercup family used to treat vaginal pain, menstrual period issues and UTIs. Golden seal also contains berberine, which is thought to reduce fungi and bacteria in the body.

Caprylic Acid: Caprylic acid is a powerful antifungal ingredient found in ococnut oil. It is thought to have an effect on unwanted candida cells in the intestinal tract and may help treat candidiasis and yeast infections.

Garlic: Garlic is used for its antifungal properties and is thought to have an effect on the yeast present in the body. Garlic may also help regulate blood pressure and is known to improve heart and blood vessel health.

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters Quality of Ingredients

We like the looks of the ingredient profile here. Twin Labs has done a good job of creating a balanced approach to tackling chronic yeast problems, which is something you don’t often see in similar products — which tend to go heavy on cleansing herbs that kill excess yeast and bacteria, without replenishing the pool of good bacteria.

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters contains pre- and probiotics, both of which are essential for the health of our internal flora. These ingredients can benefit anyone—menopause or not, regardless of candida levels.

Though we like most of these ingredients, pau d’arco might be problematic. It hasn’t been studied closely, and its long-term side effects are unknown. As mentioned above, this ingredient has been linked to internal bleeding and severe stomach problems—so we’d advise proceeding with caution.

Our primary concern with Twin Labs Yeast Fighters is, it’s not really designed for our core audience. This product is not a menopause product, though in some cases, we suppose it could be a nice companion product for a more traditional menopause solution.

The Price and Quality of Twin Labs Yeast Fighters

Twin Labs does not sell their products to the general public, instead they sell exclusively to third-party retailers. This product is fairly easy to find for sale online.

Additionally, this product may be purchased from the Vitamin Shoppe, Walmart and Swanson Vitamins.

While $12 a bottle sounds relatively inexpensive, the recommended dose is five pills per day, meaning, this product only lasts for two weeks at a time.

Twin Labs makes a variety of supplements such as pre-natal vitamins, sports and fitness supplements, weight management and more.

Twin Labs has been in business since 1968, when they started the company by rolling out a protein powder — they’ve since grown to three locations, with a range of product offerings.

In all, the Twin Labs website is pretty straightforward. The marketing materials look like they were created back in 1968, when the company was founded, which may, at first blush make some people wary of this supplement.

Twin Labs has a solid online presence and their supplements continue to get good reviews. All and all — this product seems to be made by a good company that can be trusted.

Customer Opinions of Twin Labs Yeast Fighters

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters has mixed reviews. While many are quite positive, the comments highlighted that this product isn’t quite the right fit for all users.

Additionally, we’re not sure what the reproductive demographic is for most of these users — none of them have explicitly mentioned any vaginal issues caused by menopause.

Here are some of the comments we came across in our research:

“I’ve tried so many different candida products, ranging from the super strong to the not-so-potent. This product unfortunately made me quite sick right off the bat and I couldn’t continue use.”

“This product is a real find. I had started having some issues like brain fog and constipation and this product really worked to clear these things up. Definitely recommend this to others!”

“I’ve been using this product for 2 weeks now and have yet to see any major effects, not even the candida die-off I’ve read so much about. I do feel more energized and my stomach is more cooperative.”

“I have ulcerative colitis and this seemed to do the trick. While I still have difficulties consuming things like fried or spicy foods, this has definitely made my digestive issues much less of a problem.”

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters has some positive reviews, but it’s hard to say whether or not this product would be effective in women entering menopause who are seeing a rise in yeast infections, a change in odor or other vaginal concerns.

Based on the reviews, as well as the ingredient profile, this product does not seem to yield any benefits to those who do not have a candida problem.

This may work well for users who actually have candida, but if you aren’t sure whether you do have excess yeast, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor before attempting to treat yourself with a new regimen — natural or not there may be consequences.

Conclusion – Does Twin Labs Yeast Fighters Work?

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters seems like it provides a well-rounded defense against candida in the body. We like that the product is made with a probiotic, along with all the other ingredients known for their ability to kill off bacteria, fungus and parasites/

Twin Labs Yeast Fighters could be a good tool in yeast defense, but the comments we came across suggested there may be some room for improvement.

This product really targets a niche health concern, and we’re not sure it’s quite right for most of our readers. Women going through menopause or perimenopause should discuss their vaginal concerns with a doctor. They may be better off looking for a hormone-balancing product rather than attempting to eliminate internal flora — it may not be necessary.

Femmetrinol is our review experts’ top pick for menopause support. Gentle botanicals work to eliminate the primary symptoms of menopause — hot flashes, sweating, fatigue, irritability and vaginal dryness — without any negative effects.

Femmetrinol is made with herbs like black cohosh, wild yam and others that have all been tested for optimal safety and efficacy. Click this link to learn more about Femmetrinol and how it safely fights menopause symptoms.

I have used Twin Lab yeast fighters for years with results I can’t get with any other. But now all my outlets seem to be out of stock. Did Twin Labs quit making yeast fighters? Everything “similar” has something in them that doesn’t agree with me. I miss terribly having access to Twin Labs yeast fighters.
