What is it?

PhenRx claims to be a top selling weight loss supplement formulated with over 4 years of customer input and weight loss science. It’s also said to contain the most up to date and best ingredients for assured effects.

The brand is marketed as being pharmaceutical grade, and it contains a proprietary mixture of stimulants for “extreme weight loss”. The brand also promises to help increase metabolism, reduce BMI, enhance fat burning, reduce appetite, and promote energy and focus. How safe is this brand with its mixed stimulants? Can it produce effective and long lasting results? You’ll learn everything you need to know about PhenRx in this review.

PhenRx Ingredients and Side Effects
1, 3, 7, Trymethylxanthine Beta-Phenylethylamine Synephrine HCL N, N-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine
Schizandrol A Yohimbine HCL Magnesium Stearate Silicon Dioxide

1, 3, 7, Trymethylxanthine: The chemical name for caffeine. This stimulates the central nervous system, and creates a mental and physical boost.

Though caffeine is not recommended for long-term use, and even its short-term effects are minor. Repeat use of it causes the only benefit to be sleep loss. It can promote side effects such as:

  • Mood swings.
  • Rapid heart rate and high blood pressure.
  • Insomnia and restlessness.
  • Fatigue.
  • Withdrawal symptoms.

PhenRx does not list how much caffeine is added. This isn’t a good sign because it’s important to know what kind of stimulants you’re putting into your body, and in what amounts.

There’s a total of 377 mg of mixed ingredients, so it’s possible for there to be around a cups worth of coffee’s caffeine in a serving. So at the recommended 2 to 3 servings, you might get a similar effect as 3 cups of coffee.

Though it’s important not to guess, as it can produce severe side effects.

Beta-Phenylethylamine: Chemical naturally found in the body. In supplement form it’s used to improve mood and promote weight loss.

Web MD mentions how it’s:

“POSSIBLY UNSAFE for most people”

It has a similar effect to amphetamines, and in can produce:

  • Rapid heart rate.
  • Jitters and feelings of paranoia.
  • Anxiety and agitation.

If choosing to use this ingredient, it’s essential to know how much you’re using.

Synephrine HCL: Also known as bitter orange, this stimulant increases blood pressure and is used to promote weight loss.

Web MD adds:

“POSSIBLY UNSAFE when takes as a supplement for a medical purpose such as weight loss”

Especially when mixed with caffeine like the amount added to PhenRx, it can potentially lead to:

  • Migraine headaches.
  • Fainting.
  • Stroke and heart attack.
  • Other severe side effects including death.

It’s for these reasons that it’s advised to carefully dose. This is impossible with PhenRx, since they fail to list their exact individual strengths of each ingredient.

Bitter orange when mixed with caffeine is also known to have a major stimulant effect. This can be potentially harmful to the cardiovascular system, and there have been cases of heart attacks.

N, N-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine: Known more commonly as hordenine, this is found in some plants, and it’s used to burn fat. Though there’s not much science to support this claim.

Examine.com also mentions how there’s:

“not enough evidence exists currently to support its usage as nutritional supplementation”

“insufficient evidence to recommend an oral dosage of hordenine”

So it’s impossible to know exactly how much would be a safe amount. The makers of PhenRx do not list any studies, which show how they decided their addition of hordenine would be safe.

Schizandrol A: Extract taken from Schizandra berries. This is used to reduce the feelings of stress. Though it has been studied in the past, the data on it is limited.

Examine.com adds:

“optimum doses cannot really be extrapolated”

So it’s unknown what would be considered a safe or effective dose. Much of the research in the past has not been translated to the west.

Yohimbine HCL: Used as a fat burner that increases blood pressure, this tree bark extract is also notorious for causing anxiety.

Possible side effects include:

  • Flushing skin.
  • Nausea.
  • Nervousness.
  • Headaches and dizziness.

Severe allergic reactions are possible, and certain people are more sensitive to this ingredient than others. It’s often advised to fast while using this additive, since any fat burning effect is lost when you’re digesting food.

PhenRx Quality Of Ingredients

phenrxIt’s impossible to truly judge this supplement since there’s a proprietary formula of stimulants. You’re unable to determine how much of these potentially harmful ingredients would be safe to use.

When taking ingredients like caffeine, yohimbine, synephrine, beta-Phenylethylamine, and hordenine, it’s incredibly important to know  how much of each you’re taking. Only a medical professional can help you determine what would be a safe amount.

Relying on stimulants for weight loss is often only a short-term solution. It can cause unwanted side effects as well as a lack of long-term weight loss.

The problem with this brand is that some of the ingredients haven’t been shown to have an optimal dose. So it’s unknown if the company has actually performed research to figure out what would be a good dosage.

Judging from the lack of information, it’s possible that these ingredients were lumped together without any science behind it.

The Price and Quality of PhenRx

A 60 serving bottle sells for $39.99, and the company says you can take up to 3 capsules a day. So this amounts to a 20-day supply.

Any weight loss that might happen is offset by the lack of quality ingredients. There’s far too much risk for unwanted side effects. You also won’t know how much of each stimulant you’re getting.

This raises a question mark as to what one might expect. Not everyone reacts to stimulants the same way. Also, when taking stimulants for a prolonged period, it’s possible for thee to be a lack of benefits.

Another thing to consider is that you don’t want to take this brand too late in the day, as it can interrupt your normal sleep patterns.

Business of PhenRx

NexGen Biolab, Inc. makes this brand, and their contact information listed is:

Address: 3825 Henderson Blvd

Tampa, Florida 33629

They also have a contact form, but no email or phone number is listed.  They do claim they respond to messages within a few hours. Still, it would have been preferable to have access to direct communication, in order to make sure there are people to help customers.

Customers have also complained about the company:

“still haven’t received items”

“Company sent to wrong address and haven’t answered my numerous emails”

The company has a total of 12 complaints on their Better Business Bureau page. Mostly for a lack of communication, and some claim that the company is impossible to reach.

They’ve also been featured on ABC news for selling “Adderall Knockoffs”

According to their article:

“NexGen Biolabs, are engineered products touted as alternatives to Adderall”

“compounds are extremely similar to amphetamines”

It’s impossible to gain much information from the company, what they offer is limited, and you can only message them via their contact form.  Still, many customers have had issues in trying to contact them. For many, their messages were left without a response back.

Customer Opinions of PhenRx

There’s a few customer reviews available on different sites. Here’s what some had to say:

“I felt so jittery and anxious”

“I could barely function. Bad stomach pains ,sick feeling”

“Wouldn’t recommend”

“No sure yet if this stuff works”

Fairly negative reviews from those who tried an entire bottle. For many, it was hard to keep using this supplement. It caused immense side effects like jitters, rapid heart rate, nausea, headaches, and insomnia.

Though the company says they offer a money back return, no information is listed on their website as to how to get a return. Without any direct contact information besides a form, it’s unknown if one can reach them.

How Does PhenRx Compare?

  • PhenRx
  • 50 /100
Conclusion – Does PhenRx Work?

If you feel like this brands for you, we ask that you take a moment to consider the following. You won’t know how this brand will affect you due to the unknown levels of stimulants, and many customers have experienced many side effects because of this.

It’s cheap in price and it claims to be one of the best, but judging from the complaints about how they deal with customers, and the use of heavy stimulants, you’re better off using a product backed by a helpful company.

The better option would be an all natural, stimulant free formula made with research-backed ingredients.

Your best option for weight loss is 2024’s best supplement called Sletrokor.  Not only does it have clinical research that shows how effective its ingredients are, but also it contains stimulant free all natural ingredients. You won’t have to deal with side effects that other stimulant heavy formulas have.  You also won’t have to cycle and avoid taking it too late in the day.

The makers of Sletrokor stand by their product and even offer an impressive no questions asked money back guarantee.

This is our 5th bottle of PhenRX, that is a review in it’s self. My husband and I have searched high and low for energy and have never found anything that works like this stuff. We don’t take it for the appetite suppressant part of it, though that definitely is a plus. We take it for energy. It allows us to stay focused all day with no crash like a every drink or shake would. It gives mental clarity and focus like I’ve never found in anything. It takes the mid day fog away completely and even seems to combat headaches. You will see mixed reviews on this stuff as goes for any supplement. I got the information from a friend and tried it and can not believe how much it has truly and I mean this changed our lives. From working through the day, being a mom and everything that comes with it. Maybe it’s not for you or for everyone but I would definitely give it a try. I highly recommend.

Enna says:

I already have very low blood pressure, and good caffeine tolerance… can drink coffee anytime. However what I noticed is something quite different. Day 3 swollen joints, hands, fingers, hips, knees, and feet. It triggered arthritis which I already have, just not any of these problems. My knees became balloons at work today, got up to go to the restroom and was staggering to walk. My hands looked like balloons also – never a normal problem. All my joints in my hands where hypersensitive and swollen, as is my left shoulder… very painful. Re: thirst. I already drink a gallon of water a day…. and am always thirsty if behind on my daily quota. So as my joints expanded I doubled down on the water. I may have to take a pill every other day, as a test, and maybe the reaction was triggered by something I ate. Normally lunch is a couple of boiled eggs, salad and a vegan burger, with olive oil dressing! I did add a tomato and normally have no problem with them.. but do know with arthritis they can trigger arthritis.. So did the combo with the tomato cause all of this, or is it something else?.
