I need to lose about 80 pounds. I struggle on the food end of things and I really thing this would help give me some direction. I get on the treadmill every morning before work for 45 minutes. I also sometimes come home and use the Wii fit in the evenings.

I am a 53 year old homeschool mom of 7 children (5-18). I have cried through every Biggest Loser episode this season. I know that if I had the opportunity that these folks had, I would take the bull by the horns and fight for every pound. When I watched each episode I kept a notebook nearby to write down comments of trainers and contestants which spoke to my heart.

I am 4'10 and weigh about 173 lbs. I am finding it near to impossible to be a good mother, teacher, wife, friend, etc., because I am too tired and too spent from teaching and parenting. Life has become a burden. But I know that I cannot give up for the sake of my family. I have to thank God for what he has given me and just take it one day at a time.

To this end, I am daily trying to drink 8 cups of water, journaling my calories (1200), doing at least 30 minutes of aerobics, and setting boundaries in my life as to my schedule so that I have some time to become healthy amidst all of life's challenges.

I am also trying to encourage a high school friend of mine whom I have known since I was 14. I am trying to keep her accountable to me and trying to counsel her in a tough-love mentality since she has so many health problems and is at high risk.

Biggest Loser this season has been so special. It is the only TV I have watched and well worth it for the inspiration, but now I need to day by day move in the direction of good health. I have all of the tools that I need; I just need to be consistent...one day at a time with God's help.

I have about 60 more lbs to lose. I'm down 15 from my high point through daily walks, hiking, biking, and altering my diet to my needs. A little extra motivation from an outside source would be wonderful.

My weight loss goal is around 200 pounds. I have already lost 35 pounds at the moment since I started the beginning of this year. I have been exercising regularly and trying to eat right. I incorporate a lot more vegetables and fruits into my diet. I try to focus more on portion control and find myself with a lot more leftovers now. Now that it's nicer outside, I find myself walking and try to include some running when I can. Winning this contest will help me overcome my current plateau.
