UPDATE: Jennifer Hudson decided that size six is right weight for her. “I don’t want to lose any more weight,” she told InStyle Makeover. “I think this is a good, natural size for me.” (8/4/2010)
Magazines and gossip columns can’t stop talking about how amazing Jennifer Hudson looks. And just today, the Academy Award-winning actress and Grammy Award-winning singer announced her secret: Following Weight Watchers.
The weight loss program giant just named her as their new celebrity ambassador.
Jennifer made the announcement herself this morning on Good Morning America, where she stated that she started Weight Watchers following the birth of her son seven months ago.
“I was very comfortable with myself before,” she told Good Morning America’s co-host Robin Roberts. “I have a child now and I want to set a great example for him. Make better life choices, health choices, and just create a good example for him growing up.”
The balance between exercise and eating right are a part of her new lifestyle plan, which takes into account her busy life as a mother, singer, actress and wife.
It is Weight Watchers’ flexible and practical eating plan that Jennifer was drawn to. She can still eat her favorite foods like chicken wings and sweet potatoes because she knows how many points they have and fits them into her daily points program.
“I can follow the plan no matter where I am, still enjoy my favorite foods and even use the iPhone app to track my points,” explained Hudson.
The new campaign featuring Jennifer will launch on April 4 during primetime programming. The same day, WeightWatchers.com will introduce Hudson-centric content including behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from the advertising shoot, information about her favorite foods and a blog where fans can follow her progress. Hudson will also appear on the cover of the May/June issue of Weight Watchers Magazine.
