I thought the same thing...Valerie can't possibly look as good in real life as she does on the People cover...HOWEVER, I just saw her new Jenny Craig commercial...in a bikini...walking and talking...full shots of her body...SHE LOOK AMAZING! The People Magazine cover pales in comparison. I'm inspired!

I'm sorry but is it only me that questions the picture of Valerie Berinelli on the front cover of People. Don't get me wrong. I think it's great that Valerie is down to 132 lbs and I am sure she looks wonderful but I'm not buying for a second that she looks like the cover of People Magazine. I am 5'4" and weight 135 lbs, work out regularly, and I am not even close to looking like that and I would notbe caught dead in the teeny tiny bikini she has on. Also, though People states Valerie's height as being 5'4", most of what I've read lists Valerie's height as 5'2". Which is it? 5'2" at 132 and 5'4" at 132 is a pretty significant difference. I would have much more respect if the magazine would just show a real woman's body in a sexy, appealing way for a change.

Sadly, I have serious doubts as to whether these brave women will actually keep the weight off on a long-term basis. As Lyn, says, what will happen if the strict boundaries of the "program" are no longer there to control them and their weight. I really don't think Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig are long-term solutions for most people. But I do wish them well!

It will be even more interesting to see if the losses can be maintained over the next 5 years or so. I hope they will, but I wonder how, if a "program" was the means. Without the program... what next?
