Step 1: Set Goals & Prepare (1 week):
Goal setting is one of the best ways to prepare you both physically and mentally for what it is that you wish to accomplish. I recommend setting an immediate goal, a mid-term goal you can achieve 6 months from now, and a long-term goal for about 1-5 years from now. By doing this, you will prepare and organize your life for what is to come. The preparation phase allows you to buy whatever it is that you will need to be successful (groceries, workout clothes, books, music, personal trainer, etc) and plan or set-up a time or times that you can exercise without being interrupted.
Step 2: Detox & Purify (1 week)
Detoxing is one of the best ways to start fresh and begin a new journey in your life. If you are serious about the weight loss process, you definitely need to start by purifying the system before you push the body to the limit.
- Sauna or Heat Room: Spend around fifteen minutes every day for a week in a sauna to remove toxins. Be sure to drink plenty of water.
- Sea Salt Flush: Dissolve two level teaspoons of sea salt (not regular salt) into a quart (950 ml) of warm water and drink. This will flush out your entire system in about an hour. Repeat every other day for a week, no more than three times.
Step 3: Choose Health & Fitness Program and Make Lifestyle Changes (Life-Long)
Choose a fitness plan that meets your goals and allows for success. There are millions of different routines and diets out there, but you need to find one that works for you, so do some research. Every “body” is different and what works for your friend may not work for you. Pick one, stick with it for awhile, then switch it up to shock your system. Make a lifestyle out of this: choose something that you can continue to do for the rest of your life; not just a crash diet or fitness routine.
