Philosophy Miracle Worker Ingredients and Side Effects

Key ingredients in Philosophy Miracle Worker:

Cyclopentasiloxane Ascorbyl Glucoside Propanediol Hexyldecanol
Butylene Glycol Phenoxyethanol Benzyl Alcohol Borago Officinalis Oil
Linseed Oil Sunflower Seed Oil Sodium Hydroxide Bisabolol
Arginine Resveratrol Tocopherol Stearic Acid

Cyclopentasiloxane: A silicone used in skincare products as a lubricant, conditioner, and delivery agent.  It creates a spreadable fluidity that is desirable in serums and creams.  It can cause irritation and contact dermatitis in sensitive skin, and it is also known to be ecotoxic.

Ascorbyl Glucoside: A stable form of Vitamin C combined with glucose, this antioxidant-rich ingredient replenishes the skin, and preserves the nutrients essential to smooth, bright, and radiant looking skin.

Propanediol: A humectant, solvent, and viscosity agent that seals in moisture and water. It is also a known skin irritant.

Hexyldecanol: Used in skin care products as an emollient, humectant, and skin-conditioning agent, it creates an easily spreadable base.  It is generally considered safe, but can cause severe contact dermatitis in sensitive or allergic users.

Butylene Glycol: Chemical compound derived from petroleum, used in skin care products as a solvent, thinner, and conditioning agent. Petroleum based ingredients can clog pores, suffocate the skin, and exacerbate acne symptoms.

Phenoxyethanol: A germicide and preservative used in cosmetics and skin care products.  This aromatic alcohol is sometimes used as a fragrance and can cause irritation.

Benzyl Alcohol: This naturally occurring alcohol can also be synthesized, and it is used in skin care as a solvent, preservative, and fragrance.  It is approved in very small amounts but can be highly toxic and sensitizing in high concentrations.

Borago Officinalis Oil: An essential fatty acid derived from the Borago officinalis flower.  It is used in skin care products as a natural emollient and skin conditioner.  It also has natural cooling, soothing, diuretic, and anti-inflammatory properties effective in reducing redness and irritation.

Linseed Oil: A non-volatile plant extract containing a rich source of linoleic acid, an Omega-6 fatty acid with natural antioxidant, restorative, and moisturizing properties.

Sunflower Seed Oil: This plant-derived oil extract can reduce skin irritation, improve skin hydration, and accelerate ceramide production, leading to healthier, smoother, and softer skin.

Sodium Hydroxide: Used in skin care products as a pH adjuster, this inorganic compound is highly caustic and a known irritant in high enough concentration.

Bisabolol: This ingredient is mainly derived from the chamomile plant, which is known to calm and soothe the skin.

Arginine: An essential fatty acid with antioxidant properties, it is used in skin care to promote collagen production and accelerate healing.

Resveratrol: Naturally occurring phenol derived from plants, this ingredient is used to strengthen skin’s natural defense system and help neutralize free radicals.  This antioxidative substance is produced by certain plants in response to damage caused by harmful pathogens.

Tocopherol:  This highly potent form of Vitamin E helps protect against free radicals.  It also helps replenish skin lipids, resulting in improved firmness.

Stearic Acid: Naturally occurring fatty acid used in skin care products as an emollient and emulsifier.  It also helps support the skin’s protective barrier, preventing loss of moisture at the skin’s surface.

Philosophy Miracle Worker Quality of Ingredients

Philosophy Miracle Worker lists all its ingredients on their website, which is helpful for those with sensitive skin or allergies, or those who simply take an interest in the products they apply to their skin.  Many of the active ingredients are known antioxidants that will help protect the skin from sun damage, as well as provide deep hydration to the dermal layers.

It is free from sulfates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, which is good news for those who avoid these ingredients.  There are, however, some concerning ingredients for those with sensitive skin or allergies, and some known ecotoxins that might not be the right fit for some environmentally conscientious users.

Philosophy Miracle Worker claims it is ideal for all skin types, but not all skin types react the same way to certain ingredients.  Before using this or any skin care product, one should always check with a specialist to discuss the possible risks.

The Price and Quality of Philosophy Miracle Worker

Philosophy Miracle Worker is somewhat expensive compared to similar products.  There are different size options available from .5-ounce to 4-ounces, with prices ranging from $22-96. If positive results are achieved, then this could be a value to some.  They also have a generous 60-day return policy if you purchase directly from the manufacturer or one of their retail locations.

There are, however, no clinical trials available for consumers, and there is not much detailed information on the formula and how it works.  There are also a lot of potentially harmful irritants, and the lack of potent, scientifically-proven anti-aging ingredients raises the question if the relatively high price is justified.

If Philosophy Miracle Worker is within your skin care budget and sounds like something you would like to try, be sure to check with a specialist, as some of the ingredients are known irritants and allergens for some skin types.

There are not very many complaints against the company, though it is not a very well-known brand, and customer reviews are limited.  The few complaints found on the Better Business Bureau website are all regarding poor customer service.

One potential customer was very disappointed when she placed several orders for herself and for friends and relatives.  When checking into it, she found the company had canceled all her orders for suspected fraudulent activity.  The policies on the website do state that the company reserves the right to cancel at their discretion, but there was no courtesy call or any sort of notification.  When she called to inquire, customer service was rude and unwilling to reopen the orders.

Poor customer service aside, the website is professional-looking and contains easily-understood information about the ingredients and formula. Customers are not required to enroll into any confusing replenishment services to purchase products, though autoship programs are available if customers want them.

Customer Opinions of Philosophy Miracle Worker

The customer reviews of Philosophy Miracle Worker found on the website are generally positive.  Not all products perform the same for all skin, and allergies, proper application, and other contributing factors can also vary the results.  Until you try it for yourself, you won’t know how it works for your individual skin type.

Here are some mixed customer opinions:

“It really is a miracle!  I was skeptical, but I gave it a shot on a recommendation from my boss who has great skin.  It definitely does the job.”

“Amazing cream.  I have only tried Miracle Worker, and it feels so luxurious.  I can’t wait to try their other products.”

“It does make my skin silky smooth, and the hydration lasts all day.  I don’t see any age-reversing changes, though, to be honest.  I’ll use it until it’s gone, but I think I’ll keep searching for that anti-aging miracle.”

The efficacy of any skin care product depends on individual skin type, allergies, proper application, and many other contributing factors. Please keep this in mind when researching skin care products based on customer reviews and opinions.

Conclusion – Does Philosophy Miracle Worker Work?

Philosophy Miracle Worker claims its antioxidant-rich formula will provide all the nutrients it needs to rejuvenate skin and prevent further premature aging.  Many of the ingredients have been proven to nourish and hydrate the skin, so most likely this product will produce some results.

The cream is expensive, however, and there is no proof it is any more effective than products that cost less.  It also contains several ingredients that can be harmful to some skin types, and if the product does not work for your specific needs, it could prove difficult to obtain a refund from customer service.

Our expert reviewers researched and compared many proven age-defying products and agree: Kremotex is the best overall.

Its fast-acting ingredients boost collagen production, and essential antioxidants and vitamins promote cell regeneration, reversing the effects of aging and skin damage.  Many positive testimonials on their website, along with amazing before and after transformation photos show why Kremotex was voted the best anti-aging cream of 2024.

One Response to Philosophy Miracle Worker Review

SR says:

I started using Philosophy Miracle Worker after getting a sample since it made my skin feel great. I paid $75 for the product but by the time I bought my 2nd $75 supply, I was having TERRIBLE contact dermatitis around my eyes. Bright red, flaking skin, cracked weeping skin so bad that I didn’t want to leave my house. After doing much research DO NOT BUY this product or anything else containing sensitizing ingredients. I realize that many people do not have a tendency toward allergies, but you’re playing with fire and wasting your $ . Isn’t the whole point to have healthier skin?
