Meet Sam Poueu and Koli Palu, two of the newest contestants joining Biggest Loser season nine. These Tongan/Samoan cousins weigh-in at 372 and 403 pounds respectively, and say they’re ready to get themselves and their families in better health.
With a history of athletics, both as athletes and coaches, Sam and Koli will no doubt prove to be forces on the Biggest Loser ranch.
We had an opportunity to speak with them during their first week at the Biggest Loser ranch. Listen now as they prepare to take on their weight loss journey.
Please note that due to limited phones at the Biggest Loser ranch, audio may come across broken.
Sam had not previously watched the show, but Koli had. Koli’s parents were huge fans of the season seven Tongan cousins, Filipe and Sione. He says he was inspired to see two strong Tongan men on the show, and also hopes to follow in their footsteps of creating a new appreciation for health and wellness.
