What is it?

Immuderm is an anti-wrinkle cream that is designed to prevent and repair the damage caused by environmental factors like smoke, pollution, and sunlight.

Their advertising says that Immuderm has antifungal and antibacterial products that help it fight the causes of redness and inflammation, as well as the free radicals that lead to saggy, dull looking skin. They claim that Immuderm can improve skin health at the cellular level, and that it can start showing effects within two weeks.

The skin care product that has shown the greatest aptitude for wrinkle reduction is Kremotex. Its blend not only hydrates skin but it also improves collagen production and positive cellular action. Click here to see all the ways that Kremotex can benefit the skin.

Immuderm Ingredients and Side Effects
Norwegian Beta Glucan Vitamin E Green Tea Extract
Aloe Leaf Juice Vitamin A Fragrance

Norwegian Beta Glucan: A form of sugar derived from the cell walls of certain kinds of fungus, bacteria, and other forms of active cultures. Beta glucan has been proven effective in the treatment of a number of conditions including:

  • High cholesterol
  • Hay fever
  • Infection prevention

However most of those uses are not related to the topical application of beta glucan, and there is considerably less evidence that it has therapeutic value for any kind of skin conditions.

Immuderm’s website claims that beta glucan helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, however they provide no scientific explanation of how that is expected to happen. It is also unclear to our researchers what the significance of the Beta Glucan being Norwegian is, as geography is not a relevant factor in human cellular function.

Vitamin E: One of the vital amines that the body needs for survival and proper biological function. Vitamin E is a key to a number of different processes, but most relevantly here it is important to the generation of new collagen, the building block of the skin.

Vitamin E is not hazardous in reasonable quantities and has no known negative side effects. It is considered safe for nearly all humans.

Green Tea Extract: Oils taken from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, the same plant that the popular beverage comes from.

Green tea has been used by humans for centuries, ever since a couple leaves accidentally dropped into Chinese emperor Shennong’s boiling water in 2737 BCE. Since that fateful moment it has not only been consumed in food and drink, it has been used in hygiene, cosmetic, cleaning, and other personal care products, as well as in the treatment of many conditions.

The number of home remedies that include green tea is far greater than the number of conditions that it has been proven to treat, especially topically. Green tea is high in antioxidants, so it is thought to be useful for combating the free radicals that cause cellular damage.

Green tea is generally safe for most users when applied topically, however there are quite a few side effects that can stem from oral consumption including:

  • Nervousness
  • Vomiting
  • Convulsions
  • Heart damage
  • Liver damage

Aloe Leaf Juice: Another ancient herbal remedy that doesn’t have as much clinical backing as it does cultural. Aloe is known to be effective for soothing sunburns, however whether or not it is actually medicinal is a matter of much debate.

Some scientists say that it has antifungal and antibacterial properties, however others claim that its effects are largely placebos based on the cooling sensation that users experience when applying it.

It can be highly toxic if ingested, however it is safe for the vast majority of users when applied to the skin. A small number of people have experienced allergic reactions to aloe such as:

  • Redness
  • Irritation
  • Itching
  • Swelling
  • Hives

Vitamin A: Like vitamin E, one of the chemicals that humans need for survival, health, wellness, and basic biofunctionality. Vitamin A is also a part of the skin formulation process making it a favorite additive of many skin care products.

Vitamin A is safe for most humans when consumed responsibly and there are no known side effects of note.

Fragrance: A highly ambiguous entry often found on cosmetics products’ ingredients list because they are not required to list inactive ingredients in the same way that they are required to list inactive ingredients.

This could be any number of chemicals, compounds, solutions or herbs. It could be natural or synthetic and may or may not have the potential to induce allergic reactions and medicinal interactions.

Immuderm Quality of Ingredients

Our team of researchers are highly skeptical about the effectiveness of Immuderm, especially when it comes to their main ingredient, beta glucan. They were, however, very much in favor of vitamins A and E as part of a skin care blend.

Green tea and aloe are probably not as effective from a topical skin care perspective as we would like them to be, however it is doubtful that they could harm most users so their inclusion is more a waste of money than a risk to the skin.

The ambiguity of “fragrance” is frustrating, but it is only likely to affect users with certain sensitivities or medications, however it is unclear what those may be.

In all, there is probably little that could harm users in Immuderm, however there is not much in it of real value to the core health of the skin beyond what one would get from a simple $5 over the counter lotion that has vitamins A and E in it.

The Price and Quality of Immuderm

Despite the limited effectiveness of its ingredients, Immuderm is actually well above average in terms of cost. As of the date of this article’s publication, these were the prices it was selling for on their website:

  • 1, 6 oz. tube of Immuderm skin cream: $89.95
  • 3, 6 oz. tubes of Immuderm skin cream: $179.91
  • 6, 6 oz. tubes of Immuderm skin cream: $350.82
  • 9, 6 oz. tubes of Immuderm skin cream: $445.23

The cost is offset somewhat by the larger size of the product, however the directions for use also indicate considerably more product per application as other brands of this nature.

Customer Opinions of Immuderm

The reviews of Immuderm online are surprisingly negative. This is a sample of some of the customer responses on a third party retailer’s website:

“It does nothing! This is a complete fraud and anyone that buys it is a sucker!”

“Um, is your skin care product supposed to be super irritating and lead to dry, flakey skin? If so, Immuderm is killing it.

“I HATE IT.”

Most of the complaints about the product simply claimed that it did not work, or did not work well enough to justify the cost. There were also a surprising amount of people that complained of side effects like redness, breakouts, and scaly, itchy skin, many who were quite upset with Immuderm.

Conclusion – Does Immuderm Work?

Judging from the ingredients alone, our team of researchers expected Immuderm to be mildly effective for some basic skin care needs and ineffective but harmless for others.

When user reviews were consulted, however, there were actually a shocking number of people that had negative reactions to the product. It is difficult to say what piece of Immuderm’s proprietary blend was provoking these reactions, as there were a number of untested and ambiguous entries on their list.

Factoring in these accounts, the lack of ingredients that are effective for improving core health, and the relatively high cost of Immuderm, our experts believe that users should have no trouble finding a more effective, safer product that also retails for less cost.

Kremotex is a proven, trusted skin care brand that came out on top of our panel of experts’ clinical trials. It was the health, beauty, and wellness product that tested the highest for skin malleability and reflectivity. One Response to Immuderm Review

Kay Carlson says:

I have been using Immuderm off and on for approximately 6 years, but never seriously. Through those years I was always trying an assortment of products that claimed all kinds of extraordinary results, with little to no success. During these Corona times decided to clean out and get rid of all the leftovers, and started using the Immuderm exclusively. Can’t begin to tell you how excited I was as a result of that decision! I had discoloration & bumps (no idea what they are, never could see them) and within a week was amazed at the results!! It’s now been about 4 weeks, and I continue to see improvements. Now using on the back of my hands, (age spots have diminished) and recently started using on my upper arms, to soon to tell. I’m a very happy customer of Immuderm!!!
