What is it?

Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream is a new skin cream that is designed to relax the muscles of the face, creating a smooth, wrinkle free appearance. Their advertising also mentions that it has moisturizing and anti-oxidant properties and that it is used to fight and prevent UV damage. They say that despite the scary-sounding name it is safe and effective for everyday use as an anti-aging skin care solution.

Our team of health, wellness, and beauty experts believe that the most effective product on the market is Kremotex. They have been shown to increase collagen production and functionality at the cellular level, providing core-level care for the skin. Click here to see what Kremotex has done for previous users.

Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream Ingredients and Side Effects

In all of their promotional materials, Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream, the only ingredient that they mention at all is the one listed in the title:

Syn-Ake

Syn-Ake: A synthetic protein fragment designed to mimic the venom of the Malaysian Temple Viper. It has become a popular ingredient in skin care products recently after being billed as an injection-less alternative to Botox.

There are a number of products on the market today that call themselves “injection-less Botox” and claim to have the face-freezing abilities of Botox without the unnecessary trauma of the injection procedure, which can often have unpleasant side effects, from minor swelling and pain to more serious nerve damage and tissue death.

Syn-Ake works by isolating the peptide Waglerin 1, the same chemical that is present in the deadly snake’s venom, but without all of the chemicals that are hazardous to humans. The peptide is still a paralytic, freezing muscles so that they relax and can’t form the expressions that lead to wrinkles.

Wrinkles are the product of the skin bending and creasing to accommodate the movement of the muscles below. The more you use the muscles that make you smile, frown, and make other expressions, the bigger and more tense they become. Syn-Ake, like Botox or argireline, is said to work by forcing those muscles to relax, and thus making those expression lines disappear.

This is a temporary cosmetic effect and not a core-health solution. Syn-Ake may not be considered venomous to humans in the same way as the real snake’s venom is, however there are still quite a few health concerns that are associated with its long-term usage.

One major concern is that, while Syn-Ake does have skin tightening effects at first, over time it can actually have the reverse effect and contribute to increased sagging of the facial skin.

The reason for this is due to the same reason that Botox is usually injected; the dermis is a thick barrier, and it is difficult to get topically-applied products to be absorbed by the muscles below without first having it get absorbed into the skin that surrounds those muscles.

Syn-Ake mostly gets absorbed by skin cells, and only a small portion of the dosage reaches the muscles below. The chemicals that stay in the skin can break down cell walls, slow cellular action, and cause the kind of cell destruction that leads to dull-colored, rough-textured, sagging skin.

There are also some concerns that the repeated paralyzation of the muscles can possibly become permanent, reducing a person’s ability to move their face, make expressions, and communicate non-verbally. If the paralytic seeps into the blood it can have an impact on the whole body, causing fatigue and weakness.

These are the earliest reports of potential long-term consequences to Syn-Ake usage and still very little is known about all of the consequences that repeated daily usage may have on the skin, the organs, and other bodily processes.

Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream Quality of Ingredients

It is impossible to call Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream a quality product because they do not publish their entire ingredients list. Syn-Ake may be the most active ingredient in Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream, but it isn’t the only one, and so until all additives are known it is impossible to say if it is effective or even safe for any given user.

All individuals that have allergies, that are taking prescription medication, that have compromised immune systems, or that ate pregnant or nursing are especially encouraged to consult with their medical practitioner before beginning to use Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream.

Even if there are no harmful ingredients in Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream, there is also no evidence that Syn-Ake is an effective skin care ingredient, especially in the long term. It does not have any positive effects on skin health or functionality, it is merely a surface-level effect that goes away as the product dissipates.

Our panel of beauty and wellness experts believes that beauty should be a product of healthy, well functioning skin, not the other way around. They do not tend to recommend products that may have detrimental effects on the skin while only offering visual tricks in return.

The Price and Quality of Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream

Most reputable businesses have well posted prices for each of their products, and while there may be some fluctuation due to special offers, availability, or membership programs, these prices tend to be well posted and reflect a fair market value.

This is not the case for Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream. It is not sold on a per-unit basis and is only available in the form of a “free trial offer” on their website. This free trial offer, however, signs users up for the monthly automatic payment program, the details of which are not posted anywhere during the sign up process.

To find out the details of the program, customers must click the terms link at the bottom of the order page, where buried in the middle of pages of legal jargon it mentions that the monthly fee is $89.69. There are also cancellation fees, restocking fees, and fees if you keep the free trial instead of returning it. In short, there is nothing free about the “free trial program.”

Conclusion – Does Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream Work?

Our research team believes that the best skin care companies design products that make users’ skin work better, not just work better, and that they should be transparent about their ingredients list and pricing policies.

Hydrolux – Snake Venom Peptide Skin Care Cream does none of these things. They do not tell users what is in their product, they try to trick consumers with deceptive pricing strategies, and the one ingredient they do promote is not only ineffective but may make skin even saggier and older-looking in the long run.
